Anyone go to the Winston-Salem auction today?

I went. Things were dirt cheap. Working beat Pac for $150, Journey cocktail broken $375, Tapper $650 (with decent sides, but brass bits painted black), Jambo Safari Naomi cab (dead) $50, Virtual Fighter $100, Deco mini $50. It was a long ride, but a load of fun.

I was there!!! Picked up the Ambush EM shooter, two Sea Wolf cabinets, Asteroids Deluxe, Gorf on the last row, a Tron board set ( reworked), a box of marquees, bezels, big box of boards, box of joy sticks and track balls, and my Son picked up two cabinets on the last row and of course the PIANO for $2.50 but thank God he sold it before we got home.
Great day made a contact on a eight building warehouse raid even........

Nice score on the ambush EM, wonder if its the same one that's been on eBay in your area forever. Is it the williams ambush?

EDIT: Never mind, just looked at the pics. Nice score! Love that EM shooter.

Hi everyone,

This is a cross post from a similar thread, but it has prices, so here goes.

It was definitely a buyer's auction for the most part, but the number of games was pretty weak. Very few classics, lots of multigames. I think there were 15 pins there in total.

First, here's what I bought, with pics below:

* Merit Megatouch MAXX Sapphire: $130. Bought it mostly for my wife, she loves the touchscreen games. It's a countertop version. I dig it too; she and I have been playing it together.

* NFL Blitz '99: $150, conversion w/ side art. Been wanting one for a while, a good price for a fun game.

* Star Wars Racer Arcade: $350. My son absolutely loves it. It's now the 2nd game I've ever bought, sold, and bought again, the first being Star Wars Upright (1983 version).

* Vapor TRX: $60. Has a screen issue, but I have a working 25" monitor at the house that will be a simple plug 'n' play replacement. It works, I played it before bidding. Couldn't pass up a working sit-down racer for $60.

Found the pin prices on RGP, here goes:

TZ 2775
HRC 1125
BOP 1050
Fire 850
Dale Jr NIB 2800
WPT 1375
DM 1050, 1050 not working all the way
Torn Pro NIB 4100
BK2000 725
Striker Ext 725 no glass or lockdown bar
TAF 3100
Flash 150 missing boards
8 Ball Del 925
LW3 650
Jubilee 100
Pinball Pool 100

Here's what I can remember for vids:

* Gorf (1 of 2) $350, nice machine with easy ROMS.
* Galaxian $200, dim screen but played.
* Star Wars Trilogy Arcade ~$550, no sound, upright
* Rush 2049 ~$650, nice game, pissed I didn't keep bidding on it.
* PGA Tour ~$450, dedicated, beautiful cab, missed bidding by about 2 minutes.
* Donkey Kong $400, all original I think, two board set, one of the nicest unrestored I've seen. Gorgeous screen.
* Time Crisis II $125. Worked.
* Madden Football ~$250. Non-working.
* Journey cocktail $375. Non-working, but very rare.
* Pac-Man w/ Ms. Pac board: $150. Beater, but worked.
* Tapper $650. Not bad, but black paint over the brass parts.
* Jumbo Safari $50. Non-working.
* Virtua Fighter $100. Average shape.
* Deco mini $50. Unusual game.

Various multigames sold from around $400 for ugly to around $800 for nice. There was a badass Harley Davidson multi, 60-in-1 in a Pac cab (I think) that sold for around $800 or so.

Other odds and ends:

* Big screen (50"?) projection TV: $40. Yep, really. Worked, or at least showed static.
* Cassette tapes in floor-standing fixture: $25. My friend bought it, gonna put it in his home game room as an 80s decoration.
* Crane game: $40. Worked, one of the "up then right" button control type. Shoulda bid a bit higher, my son would have loved it.
* Candy crane: $250. Worked, my friend bought it.
* Change machines: $200 x2. My friend bought them, hope they work!
* Coors Light neon: $85. Friend bought it.

I enjoyed the auction, but there's no doubt in my mind that over the years the classics are drying up at the auctions. I remember seeing 10 Ms. Pacs, 10 Galaga, 10 Pacs, and many more at auctions. More recently, it's lucky to find more than two of these at any one auction, for the most part. Still fun, still good deals to be had, so don't miss one if you get the chance to go.

One last thing - for spacababy, sorry that I missed you. I'm sure you were there, and I would have said "hello", but I didn't run into you. Hope you had fun.

Later everyone!

Did anyone get a price on the Ice Cold Beer?

I bought the ice cold beer for $160. I will have to rebuild the base but the rest of the cabinet is nice including the side art work. The glass is really nice.

I bought the journey cocktail as well. I paid $275 for it though not $375 like someone said it sold for. It looks complete to me. I think it was a good buy but will not know for sure until I get it unloaded and look at it.

I will pass this along all in good time but first I need to hit the five building warehouse that I found out about a couple of months back. Just need to set a date and gather the posse....
