There was some little auction today that was vaguely advertised on CL...I was going to go check it out, but then just didn't feel like it...still pooped out from the CAX drive...heh. Anyone check it out?

Not Anaheim, but there was one in Long Beach. It sucked. Remnants of a Dreamworks (I think). Only two classics and they were both in those sucky home grown squatty wood cabinets. All the rest of the stuff was gigantic simulator crap, only one 25" dedicated cab. Sad sad sad.

I met M1A down there to present him with the Domino Man cab....other than that, after a quick review of the auction hall....wasn't any reason to stick around.

There's another auction next weekend at Capt. Chris'.

I got a flyer in the mail at work advertising that auction. At first, I was really psyched to see "PUBLIC AUCTION: ARCADE GAMES" but there wasnt anything remotely interesting to me.

Oh yeah, Long Beach ....it's south..same thing. :) Thanks for the report - glad I didn't waste my time. I'll probably check out the one next weekend though...why not!

Superauctions in Compton Aug. 8th!!! GLOCK GLOCK!

I went to the auction and met some cool KLOV members then ended up buying some office furniture(very little) a couple of cool framed pictures and the Robotron with 25" color monitor and nasty cabinet..... monitor good and original board set has some issue...Overall to me it was worth the trip and end up meeting KLOV members as I am new to this group.

Yeh thanks Chris. You were the only one bidding against me. You got all the items I wanted. You also got the Missle Command, right? That looked, you know.

The auctioneer decided to stop the auction part after all the games were sold. It became, what are you interested in and I will make up a price to sell it to you. Many people were not pleased with this. I bought one game, it was a power smash 2. I believe 1/2 the games had some sort of problem. Wether it was small or big. The machine I bought gets through the load process and then stop like a stuck record. The screen and sound are great. I paid $15o.oo

No Missle Command for me...Someone else snatched it up at a good price around the $150 range...The auction did go very sideways into a sale which was unsettling.

Welcome Chris. Good luck on the Robotron. That game is in my top 5. I have to be happy with playing it on MAME for the time being:(
