hello
i went yesterday to look at someone selling a few coin op games in their basement. one was a bally rapid fire (i know this isnt a real pinball machine). it powers on and the light behind backglass comes on and the displays look "backlit" but thats all it does. no "playfield" lights come on. the owner tells me it "used to work fine, but him and his friends son tried to turn the volume down and the little kid touched something inside the coin door and it hasnt worked since"
i am going to pick it up today.......so i havent had a chance to work on it.......any ideas......? lol i know someone will probably say to junk it....i know its a crap title but its very very cheap and in very nice condition.
thanks in advance
dave

Check the power supply for blown fuses and burnt connectors.

Check the cpu board for battery leakage damage as is so common on Bally pinball cpu boards.

i have many many working parts for rapid fire if you need any. pretty much everything except the boards...

Where exactly is the volume control? I looked on the coin door and didn't find it. And the silly wheel that returns the balls is not turning.
