Just curious what you did.

It could be as simple as putting a brighter light bulb in somewhere.

For example, im working on restoring afterburner 2 cockpit.

Id love to figure a way to make the thing pivot back slightly every time you yanked the throttle into afterburner. And/or move downwards slightly every time you pushed the throttle to 'low'.

I've always wanted to fix a bezel to light up but never had the guts to figure out how to do it...

80W dual channel audio amp in the Joust.

Awesome. Do you have a subwoofer in there too? Digitally generated sounds are incredibly clean and are perfect for high amplification. Classic Williams games had some of the best sounds (especially Joust).

The two sound effects that I've attached are my favorites, and sound awesome through high amplification and a subwoofer (if anyone has PC speakers with a subwoofer turn it up and try it out).

I put a old 13" subwoofer out of a intercomm system in the bottom of the cab, and a couple of mid-range speakers near the top. The first time I hit the start button it scared the crap out of me! :D

If I ever get around to restoring the Afterburner and Out Run cabinets, I've considered upgrading the sound. I'd replace the stock speakers with cheap, although much better, speakers from Parts Express, possibly all run through a cheap amp with a sub.

There's a lot of potential for upgrades, but more potential with pins.

My old Sinistar upright had an Aura Bass Shaker kit in it. The whole thing would pretty much earthquake itself once Sinistar came out.... I wish I'd kept it for my cockpit as I haven't been able to find one since....

I have some ideas for a circuit to augment the sounds for Boot Hill, and replace and/or overlay them with various wave files, for example to have background music like "Oh Suzanna"
