I have been talking with a guy who said he had a missile command cockpit and when he sent me the picture it was a sega missile command cockpit? I have seen the cabinet and cocktail but never a cockpit before. Here is a picture, anyone else ever heard or seen one of these?

My tiny local arcade had a Missile Command cockpit. I eventually helped get it sold to a collector. Best part of playing it was the sound: it boomed.

I've seen a picture of this Sega beast once before, but a long time ago. Very neat!

I don't think that was originally a Missile Command... since it's an Atari game, and the Cockpit versions I've seen of it are white.

I could be wrong, I'm sure someone knows what it is

Dont think it will be for sale at this time, i'm probably going to pass it to a friend who is a collector. I would be to tempted to sell it. I would rather it get appreciated. Will shoot more pics when I get it home.

Take pics of the PCB. As I said in the prior thread, the one I have has a prototype board - it was Sega Head On board that was somehow hacked to play Missile Command.

As posted in the other thread, I have the manual for the Sega MC cockpit. Manual says that the cockpit is actually a Sega MC upright, but with an optional piece that bolts onto the cab to turn it into a cockpit.

+1 for pics of the PCB. Although I really want to see pics of the Head On PCB that was modified to run MC ......

That's interesting, I can see how mine probably was a cockpit at one time now that I see how the part that you sit inside and the rest of the cab come together.

I'll take a pic of the PCB over the weekend.

Waiting for friends to help with the unload...

Here are a few more......

The pcb looks to me to me a Atati style board but it is stamped SEGA.
Will get some pics up once I get it unloaded.

Big props to Kalan714 for sending this my way...I owe you big time!

I am pretty sure the upright portion is a converted Head On cabinet. If you unbolted the upright from the sit down portion you would be able to see the side art of the Head On where the sit down portion of the cabinet fits over the upright part. If you look at the pics in the thread about the machine I own you can see this.

Also, the board sounds exactly like the one I have in my Sega Missile Command.

What's the serial # on the back of the upright? I haven't looked at the back of mine in a long time but as I recall there is a plate back there with a serial number.

Uploaded a ton more pics. Jon I checked the # but don't remember it now...something like 58123. It was not a 2 or 3 digit number like I would have guessed?
