Anyone ever seen a beat up Star Wars?

(If someone else has already posted this, I couldn't see it through my work filter... )

Star Wars parts are valuable. A SW that is 80% there may still require $200 in parts, and who is gonna spend that on a rough cab? Hgh quality repro side art is another $235 or so. Yokes have only been available for a year or so now, and it's on a strict Buyer Beware basis from what I read. Plastics I imagine will never be made.

Beat, trashed or otherwise hard to restore cabs are stripped and sold for parts. That's why most of the ones left are pretty.

I parted out a star wars that had water damage all the way up to the last blue line on the bottom. it was in a basement that flooded while the owners were away. The seller kept trying to convince me the cab was still salvageable, and while loading it in the truck it was apparent the bottom was being held together by the side art. had an amp and working boardset, played both almost every day.

Ha just the one in my friend's garage. At least it wasn't converted into a chair with a phone in it.

Thanks for the thoughts and pics, guys. Good reading...

Well here are pics of my Star Wars cockpit when I picked it up 4 months ago. It was in such bad shape that most people would have lit it on fire and rolled it down the street. The pics were taken with my iphone so they are not the greatest.
