Anyone ever play an Up N' Down?

used to play it on the first nintendo. I prefer bump n jump, but it's an ok game.

Great game, tends to be one that people love or hate. The difficulty is much higher than other games in the same genre.

Maybe it was on a Famicom multi / bootleg? There isn't a version for the NES.

My father in law scored one at a yardsale and im trying to find an aprox value. It's original cab and in good-great condition. Will need cleaned up. Plays great.

I love the game, but seems to be too difficult for most people to get into it right away. Once you understand it though, it can be quite addicting, and the higher levels quite a challenge. Lots of replay value.

Look for the Pengo's cameo in level 4 or 5!

Was there a game very similar to this, but with more 'roads' on the screen? I used to play a cocktail years ago, and it seemed like in it instead of being stuck on the same road, you could make more turns and things, the roads intersected more often, although they wouldn't take you off screen, you could just take different paths.

It was fun as hell when I was young, maybe it's this game but the 1 screenshot on klov doesn't look as I remember it.

which cabinet do you have, there are two dedicated versions, one is in a bally cabinet, it is basically the same cabinet as bump n jump, but it is a black cabinet. The other is a sega convert-a-cab, same as zaxxon, and a few other games

I played this as a kid in our local K-Mart. This was the only place I ever saw this machine. It was one of my favorites back then, but of course the game and the arcade disappeared. When I was introduced to MAME, this was on my list to play again. It still is fun to play (for me at least).

It's Up'N Down. The screenshot doesn't give a fair idea of how fast the streets scroll by and how often they change up.

The one pictured as a bally upright is the one my father in law has. I haven't seen it in person since it's in Las Vegas but will in August. I was describing it to my KLOV friends as a Domino Man cabinet.
