ANyone ever order WG4600 cap kits

Ordered and installed one about a month ago, maybe less. As far as I could tell, everything I needed was there.

A little map here if ya need it: http://homearcade.org/BBBB/4600lyot.html

Mine came with great instructions which listed everything needed. As a hint, do as Bob suggests and install the Black adjuster on the opposite side of the board.

There are several varieties of WG 4600's. I've done two now and booth kits were the same. One kit ended up one capacitor short and the other had 2 left over.

Neither one matched Bob's cap map. I eventually found both chassis in WG manuals, but now I don't remember the model numbers. So much for "I'll never forget this debacle". When in doubt, write it down......

This is why I just keep a big assortment of caps and just build my own as a I go....

i often save at least one copy of the paperwork i get from cap kits just in case i need 'em for reference later on, and looking at the cap list from this kit i installed a couple of years ago it shows:

1000uf35v C622 (main pcb)
1000uf35v C311 (vert/horz pcb)
1000uf16v C201 (video interface pcb) with a note of "Not on all models"

i also circled C311 in red, don't know why (maybe it was missing too) but that list would imply to me that there should be two 35v and one 16v of the 1000uf caps.

if i get a chance i'll see if i can dig out my K4600 and take a look at the vert/horz pcb for C311.

of course, you could also e-mail Bob and ask him directly.
