I'll probably never do it, but every year we have an "Employee Appreciation Day" at my yob.

A dream event would be for me to bring some of my games in for everyone to play. It won't ever happen tho, for a myriad of reasons I can't or won't type here.

I haven't, but for some reason there is a Defender in the conference room...

I'm horrible at it.

I brought a 60-in-1 countertop into my office. I offered a $100 prize to the person who could post the highest Donkey Kong score.

No one played it. No one. Even with the contest.

And you live in Cali- you would think there'd be someone out there wanting to game it up a little!

That said Defender is heading to my Stag tonight...the person that post the high score will will a 4 GB touch MP3 player.

About 70 peeps..game set to free play...no one there is in the hobby.

I'm real curious to see the audits at the end of the night

I used to have a Popeye in my office...

My boss knows about my collection and asked if I whould bring some games to work I mentioned about a 60-1 to him and that a single cab whould save space he agreed, I happened to buy a cheap cab off a Klove'r for $50 bucks slapped an extra 60-1 board that I had laying around and brought it to work. Next day the game was gone and I asked my boss what happened to it ? He said he enjoyed playing it so much he took it home lol!

now thats a con.

I was bringing a pinball in every year for a few years. We had tournaments with it for charity support. I also tried a vid and nobody played it but people seem way more into the pinball. Was a LOT of fun and made some good money for the charity. I only stopped because I no longer can afford to have good pinball games.

Right now I have four games at my current fire station and another one at another station. The guys love it, but always bitch if something is broken. I am thinking of turning them all off of free play and put a quarter machine next to them the next time I go on vacation. :)

Way back in 2000 I did. Our work was video game related, so it obviously fit. The suits* didn't dig it though. I turned the volume as low as possible and they still complained. Someone stuffed toilet paper in the speaker hole of one machine and straight yanked some wires inside another (I accidentally left the coin door open...they were set to free play anyways).

Never again. People in the work place don't even respect each others food in the fridge, let alone someone else's personal property.

*= I found the people that actually created content loved the machines and the people that had to sell the content hated them being there.

Somewhat the same as Wolfeel but I only let the guys play them once I fixed them. That was my arcade fix it room was the fire station. The guys would be so excited to play when I was done, they would come to the bays and check on my progress and as always talked shit a bit. That was in cali I have yet brought any to my new station here in Utah...I'll prob start with parts like wiring up a cp or something small.

I have always thought itd be cool to have a big fire dept party and me bring my games in for the families to play, maybe one day...
