Anyone Ever Bought Games Directly from Cyberstation?

Wow and a Motocross Go! for $300! It would look nice next to my Propcycle!

I bought several BITD though it was at Aladdin's Castle. If they really want to get rid of something they list it cheap. They'll list ones that still make money for more expensive. They are usually in pretty good condition also. Too bad North Carolina has very few Namco owned arcades still.... :(

A game that has been in an attendant-run arcade all its life will always be way nicer than its street-operated cousins. BUT namco operates a bunch of theatre locations too, so it can be tricky. You also need to pay with cashier's check or money order only, an extra hassle. And some managers are less than great to deal with, because they took away game sales commissions years ago, so there's no motivation to be nice to buyers; it's actually an extra hassle for them. You may also have to deal with mall policies, such as no removal of games during regular hours, you'll need to go in early in the morning to pick-up.

Funny thing, my good buddy Broodwich bought his Spider man from the local cyber station.

bought? it was given to me free :)

then they swapped out the monitor chassis for me free when that died about 12 years ago when i had no clue anything about other than the sting of a cracked fly.

How much we have both learned. :)

I learned the most when i found this place. I gotta give myself some credit tho for properly rewiring a Non-JAMMA cab to JAMMA with 0 help pre KLOV

Had to, they hacked the hell out of the JAMMA harness they put in the machine. it was a real mess. It's much nicer now. The cab was gutted inside board wise, and the control panel was in terrible shape. (actually recently i figured out that the original Spider-Man CPO was still on it (still have it), thing is it de-laminates over time leaving just the black base vinyl)

Seems like it would have been easier to make an adapter.

the local Cyberstation was run by some shady chick at the time i got this machine. Her and her life partner cob'd everything and anything (surprise surprise). Anything the employee's fixed was from sheer luck more than anything. They didn't teach vinny much from what i've seen and he worked there for a couple years. Making an adapter was way over all of their pay grades.
