I've been working on getting a Star Trek dedicated cabinet sanded down and right behind that a Defender project, but this humidity has been killer this year. I've enjoyed the times I could get it outside and work on it, but those days have been few and far between. Most days spent indoors or at the bench.
Man I hate this heat and humidity. Can we have more 70 degree weather please? Not high 70's not 80's not 90's. This is crazy.

Painting, sanding, bondo...all of it sux in this humidity. Everything takes so much longer to dry, even with fans. Plus you've got a dust mask on and goggles which make it that much hotter. Hopefully when I finish this project in the fall the temps will be better.

Nevada doesnt have much of a humidity problem, at least here in Reno/Sparks. Everything here is a dry heat. Working on cabinets isnt all that bad as long as you have circulating air and keep hydrated, but the occasional heat-induced nosebleeds are killer :(

It's been in the 100's with heat indexes in the mid to upper 110s for the past 10 days or more with no immediate end in sight.F'n upper level high pressure system.

When it's like this I only work on the games at night or at least not before 7pm.Having a fan on you constantly helps, but it still sucks ass.I just know when fall rolls around,my restorations will be kicked into high gear!

great! your gonna restore my galaga....hehe

It's like 80 degrees here and it's 3:40am. I've pretty much given up on trying to get anything done cabinetwise. Knowing this weather, there won't be a fall, straight from summer, dump leaves all at once then winter. Kind of like our missing springs for the last 5 years.

humidity is a relative thing.

I feel your pain. Day 11....

Humidity bad here too.

Luckily I can work in my besement and any painted part, gets sprayed outside and then brought in to dry.

I live pretty close to gutsman and it's been a killer. I try to get in a little after 7 too, but mainly if I do anything at anytime I come inside drenched with sweat. I tried doing stuff after some yard work last weekend and I decided it was a bad idea since I'd probably screw something up with all of my sweat dripping on the floor, cabinet, electronics, etc.

UGH!

Yea.

Thats why I love Nevada, Vegas area during monsoon is a biazzch but the rest of the time love it.
although I do love monsoon season its great to watch the nature show..

I'm trying to get outside to work on my Omega Race. But every day it has been 95+ degrees here. It gets way too hot... I can barely work for more than an hour per day.

My poor electric bill. I'll bet there's going to be alot of AC's Iced up this week. I don't think mines' shut off for quite a while.

I'm sprucing up an old Jamma cabinet and have no choice but to work outside - no garage or workshop... next job on the list is a full sanding and respray which will have to done outside and its a typical English summer - raining.

Not looking forward to picking the flies out of my silk black finish when its finally done!
