Anyone else search for a game you want then not want it?

Ive had this happen a few times for games I used to love to play in the arcade and once I find and either get them home or restore them I totally lose interest in them. Maybe its the competition of playing with others that does it for me that i dont get alot of here in the dungeon arcade. i just dont know. One game I drove rather extensively and braved a thunderstorm where I had to make a side stop and buy a heavy duty tarp just to get it home and a few months later I sold it. anyone else get this way???

No, but I've got the opposite problem. I've bought games with intentions of using them for parts and then ended up liking it so much I kept it. An example is a Two Tigers conversion I have. I bought it for the nice Tron cab and ended up liking it so much I restored it.

I've also bought a couple in the past with plans on repairing and selling them only to have my wife and kids decide they like it enough to keep. Zoo Keeper and MK II are the two and I have a feeling I'm going to end up being talked into keeping a Pigskin 621 A.D. (my wife and youngest son are huge football fans).

Yeah, I seem to get a better feel for a game once A few players come down to the dungeon and spend some time on them that tends to grow on me but like my 720, I absolutely love the game, still do but its boring as fuck when noone around you within 100's of miles comes to play and challenge your high scores or atleast game with you. the kids like anything down there pretty much and that brings a smile to my face as well but noone plays 720. :(

I find this is happening to me with all my vids. Two games that i felt were must haves, space invaders cocktail and an ur asteroids just sit here. Both are fully restored to the best of my ability.I bought a time pilot cab with frogger in it as the price was right with no plans for it,frogger became such a hit with my kids and girlfriend that i landed a frogger cab and did my best to make it as good as new,i don't play it either lol.I built a 60-1 and it sits unplayed, centipede gets some play from me,but no one else like it.It seems to me that once they are lookin and working good,i prefer to watch others enjoy them.
My pins on the other hand suffer constant abuse by me,every day i play a few games of each just to unwind.

Thats pretty much me though I never tire of MK 1 and 2 on the mame but noone ever plays with me. The mame is about all I play now in my whole line up, I just drink crown and coke and watch others enjoy my hard work. I just dont get it.

I loved Rally-X back in the day, once I owned one I decided I didn't really like it that much. Moon Patrol was kind of that way for me too.

I feel this way about my Dragon's Lair and Dedicated Space Ace machines. They are nice to have around, and I used to really love the games, but they are really kind of just taking up valuable real estate at this point. I can't see myself getting rid of them, however. Same can be said for Tempest and Asteroids, as people don't seem to be interested in playing them much, either...

My Rygar cocktail I had. I was excited as hell to get it until I got it home and realized how big the REAL footprint of a cocktail is. I didn't think bout it essientially taking up about 3 uprights worth of space to actually have 2 people play seated across from each other. Sold it to a friend about 2 months after I got it and put 3 uprights in it's place. Decided I really don't like cocktails after all.

kinda was like that when i finally founr my satan's hollow. when i finally picked it up i was afraid i wouldn't enjoy it, but i love the game, so it worked out.
