Ended up doing a buy it now for these frenzy boards http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...8&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123#ht_1612wt_905

i got a great price even though they are untested. i did the buy it now last night before i went to bed and this morning i got a message from the seller stating that it only comes with 3 boards. i guess depending on what 3 boards it is that it is probably still worth it but this really erks me. Anyone deal with this seller before? and i'm sure there's nothing i can really do about it but either pay it or not.

I don't think the seller is very knowledgable when it comes to arcade stuff. Did you ask if you are getting what is pictured in the auction? Some of those boards are connected by ribbon cables and the seller may be counting those one board each.

i responded back and told him to email me pictures of what i'm getting before i send payment.

I see 5 boards in the auction photo and no mention of only getting three of them in the auction listing. If it were me I'd expect what I see in the auction photo or I would reverse the payment.

Save a copy of the pics and auction. Pay seller through paypal. If you don't get the 5 boards in the pic file or refund. My guess is your get 5 boards. Person listing auctions seems as not to know the difference between 3 and 5:)

One picture shows five boards and the other picture shows four boards.

Unless he is miscounting or considering a couple of connected boards as 'one', then he could send anything.

I'd get some clarification and then decide to pay or not. If he's not planning on sending EVERYTHING pictured in the auction, then you have decent grounds to back out on.

Don't you hate this stuff?

The two provided photos are of different boardsets. One of the boards has a battery that is mostly blue in one photo and white in the other. (Probably on the two ends of the table, judging by the background contents.)

Plus the obvious lack of one board in the second photo, which I'm sure everyone has already noticed, yourself included before bidding.

Uh... I see nine boards. Note that the second picture contains *different* boards than the first picture. The way this was listed, you should get all the boards contained in both pictures, as they are all for Frenzy (or Berzerk...), and there aren't enough to make two complete sets... If all the boards were not included, then they would not have been in the photos.

Wow, confusing. I would be expecting 9 boards. Hard to tell in the pictures, but the board with the white battery looks to have acid damage. The one with the blue looks to be in better shape but again hard to tell in the photos.

I bought a working space duel from these guys that I picked up and was as described. They were nice enough and helpful in loading it up, etc. From what I could piece together, I think the one guy may have inherited a large collection of games from his grandfather and he and a friend have been working on them and selling them. Most of the games were dusty and in various stages of disrepair but they did have quite a few. I also think they like the weed, which might not help from an organizational standpoint. Id buy from them again but after I checked out the game, board, etc.

With a screen name like yours I am sure you can sniff out the weed!!!!

Still waiting for a response from him about it. Like many of you had said i was expecting the 9 boards in the pictures which is why i jumped on the buy it now price of $45. I have zero boards for my frenzy/berzerk project and this was the perfect deal to fill that void :(

THERE ARE FOUR BOARDS!

Seriously though, I bought a Vs. Goonies daughter card from him about a month ago and everything came fine, worked and was a great price. All of his stuff seems to have blue tape labels. My guess is he bought them in a bulk buy and is going from what the previous owner had each one labeled as.

I can see why you might think that but the chronic part really just refers to my robotron addiction--no cypress hill double entendre intended. Sorry Yaggy....lol.

I've bought a couple of things from him. The packing is a little shakey but everything arrived intact. I am going to second that he is not at all knowledgeable about what is being sold. I think when he originally posted the first round of stuff on eBay, he talked about taking over the stuff from a deceased relative.

yea it definitely sounds like they have no idea what they are selling. they just got back with me and sent me pictures of what it is. Its not the main picture on the ebay link its the 2nd picture with the 4 boards which they are saying is 3 since the one is connected. oh well i dont think $60 shipped is too bad for some untested frenzy/berzerk boards is it?

now i'm just debating on if i should make this berzerk cab a frenzy or keep it a berzerk.

I bought my Bagman from this guy. He let me walk through his warehouse of games. Alot classics and conversions. The second floor had some nice games from the 70's. Couple EM games mixed in there too. He alot nice games I wanted, but his prices can high. They were very nice and loaded the game into my van. He also had a game graveyard on the outside of the warehouse.
