Anyone coming to CAX that knows how to install the Multi Exidy kit into a Crossbow?

Is anyone coming to CAX that has first hand knowledge on the installation process of the Multi Exidy kit into a Crossbow cabinet?

I have a perfectly working Crossbow which I brought to the show last year and a brand new unopened multi Exidy kit (prototype #1).

I wouldnt mind having someone help out so that we can put this game on display at the show. I think its pretty easy, I would just prefer having someone I can trust more than myself to do this task.

It's pretty easy other than you have to pull a ton of eproms from the original board set. Since I have had issues trying to get mine to work properly with my board (pretty sure my board has to be the issue). I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled ect. many times. Expect to have some place to put the aprox 40 eproms. You will want maybe 6-8' of wire and a button for the test/reset switch. And you will need to solder some wires to the legs of one chip.

p1899m - I see you are based in California. Are you coming to CAX?

You mentioned we need 6-8' of wire.... did you mean 6 to 8 inches?

I'll be at CAX. The 6-8 feet was off the top of my head so it's probably more than necessary but, you basically need to run a wire from the kit on the board to a button somewhere accessible. This button allows you to exit one game so you may choose another. Otherwise you need to power the game down in order to bring up the main menu and select another game. I think my estimate was based on running 2 wires from the board set area to the cp or coin door area. I guess you can just connect to any ground like one in the coin door or on the player select button. That would cut the amount of wire in half. Like I said my estimate was probably a little high to begin with.
