hey im kind of new here

i just bought my first actual arcade game this weekend (afterburner) and joined up to learn more and maybe score a another piece or two for my pad, but before i had my own place i was collecting alot of just home console stuff. NES, SNES, genesis, saturn, dreamcast, N64, gamecube, all 3 playstations, wii. literally hundreds of games across all my systems on my shelfs

does anyone else do much game collecting outside of the real arcade stuff here as well?

I have a bit of console stuff. Two NESs (one top-loader), two SNESs, a Virtual Boy, an N64, a Gamecube, a Wii, a PS1, a PS2, two PS3s (one slim), an Xbox, two Xbox360s (one elite), two Master Systems, two Genesises (with 32X and CD), a Saturn, a Dreamcast, three 2600s, a 7800, a Vectrex, a ColecoVision, a Gameboy, a Gameboy Color, a Gameboy Micro, two GBA SPs, a DS, two DS lites, a DSi, two PSPs (both 3000s), a Game Gear, a Lynx, a C64 (with 1541 drive), a bunch of games and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. I'm definitey not a "collector" though. I buy stuff I want to play and I play it. I probaby spend more time playing console games than anybody else here. I also have a bunch of handhelds (mostly Game & Watches). Unfortunately, I don't yet even have twently arcade games, but I'm getting close. I don't consider myself a "collector" of arcade games either. I only buy games that I want to play and keep.

SEGA:
Genesis I, Genesis II, SEGA CD II, 32X (x2), Game Gear, Saturn, Dreamcast

SONY:

That looks about right, but I'm probably forgetting a few of the less memorable consoles that I have...and yeah, the game.com systems are VERY memorable...memorable for how horrible they were. To be fair, I played the hell out of the built-in solitaire game and Lights Out :p

I used to have a lot of console stuff,mainly NES,SNES,GBA,and PS2,but I sold all of it off due to the fact that I wanted to be able to move freely throughout my house.I still play them though,just on emulators...well,all but the PS2 stuff.

I have the following:
NES front loader
N64
Gamecube
DS Lite x 2
Sega Nomad
Dreamcast
XBOX modded
XBOX 360 X 2 one modded

I wish I had never gotten rid of my Sega Master System 3D setup, Super NES, Game Gear or my original N64.
My brother still has the Sega Master System and 3DO we had growing up. Good thing he kept them otherwise I probably would have sold those too when I was a teen.

I have games for other systems, but if I don't have the console I didn't list it. Hand helds not included.

I just collect NES games - Not super active I have about 100 NES games. I have all of the Mega Mans and your staples are in their like Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, the Castlevanias, the Contras..Double Dragon and DOUBLE DRAGON 2 FTW.

I collect a handful of consoles that I like, and have a stack of games for each... I only really get the 'good' games for each console, I'm not into completing entire sets with junk games I'd never play.

And almost all the games and consoles I have collected are boxed with manuals/paperwork.

* Intellivision (my original one that I won in a competition in 1980 is nonworking, but I have all the cartridges and boxed Intellivoice that I had when I was a kid, plus I've collected a few more games, and an Intv III unit)
* SNES (have three PAL consoles, one modded to play 50/60Hz and lockout chip disabled)
* PlayStation (boxed up again since I got a PS2)
* PlayStation 2
* Xbox
* Xbox 360
* Wii (been very disappointed with the quality of games from third party developers for this)

Never really cared for the Atari 2600/VCS or NES, so I never collected them. A friend of mine had a Genesis/Megadrive, but I've never really felt compelled to get one, although I'd like to get a Nomad since I like handhelds.

Since I really like handhelds so I collect them too:

* Lynx (three of these, a Lynx 1 and two NIB Lynx II)
* Gameboy Color (just discovered how fun Pokemon is... How sad is that??)
* Nintendo DS
* Game & Watch (Have about 30, and almost all the multiscreen games NIB)

Miscellaneous stuff - I have an old Amiga 1200 and Amiga 500 computer, and I have a few tabletop games... Parker Q-Bert, Epoch Astro Wars and Gakken Puck Monster.
