Anyone been to Safari Land in Villa Park, IL?

I'm wondering if it's worth driving there or is it all ticket games and no classics.

There are a lot of ticket games there, but with that said they have a decent amount of video there but nothing older then 1995 if I had to guess. They have the Ms Pac/Galaga and the Donkey Kong/Mario Bros. They also have 4 pins but the last time I was there each one had some serious game play issues. So is it worth the drive, I don't know.

I keep meaning to get over there but just never pull the trigger. Is it really good?

I haven't been there since March or so but overall it was a pretty good place to go to. I don't know if I would say the best as they have put a lot of flat panels in the classics and most of the games need work. Overall I would say you need to go there before Safari Land.

I did not know that was even still open. Used to live nearby years ago, but never have been in there. Now the Portillos on the corner is awesome! Drive west and you can see what used to be a great gameroom back in the day, Galaxy West.

I guess this is why we create our own gamerooms. :D

Are you talking about the place that is now a Brunswick? If so I thought that was called Galaxy World or Gala North. Just wondering.

Yeah something like that. Maybe it was Gala Lanes North. F*ck it was about 25 years ago! Damn where has all that time gone?

Yes! :D He's got a couple hundred games there, ranging from classics to current fighters. Be aware though, that there are alot of weird conversions there (don't cry at all the converted Tempest cabs he has ;) I assume he got them that way ) Anyway, this weekend is their 1 year anniversary celebration, and they're open from Saturday 11am thru Monday 2am (39 hours!). I should be down there all day Saturday and partly into Sunday (depending on how tired I am)
