The House, the Arcade, the games, the posters, the artwork, all on a 2 acre lot of beautiful mountain-top property with a gorgeous view. The house is 2 stories - cedar siding with stonework - roughly 3360 sq ft in the main house. The Arcade is 2400 sq ft on the main floor, the upper floor is roughly 1500 sq ft. There is a bathroom in the arcade, and the house itself has 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. The arcade is also cedar siding with stonework to match the house.

Everything you see here:

Here is the full list of games:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tdzxm3hz19fF3sRtHUozqiQ&output=html

Note that I am keeping some of the games. They are clearly marked in the spreadsheet.

Again, you get the house, the arcade, the games, the posters, the artwork - everything except the games noted in the spreadsheet.

PLEASE - somebody come take it over so it can stay as-is, and as it should be. It's that or the games get wholesaled and almost certainly parted out on ebay, and the building gets converted into somebody else's garage.

Sorry, but I will not piecemeal any part of this sale. You buy the house - you get everything else. That's the deal. I refuse to watch the collection walk out the door 1 machine at a time. I just can't do it.

I'm ready to move on and I need somebody else to run the Chocolate Factory.

Regards,
-Peter

Peter,

Good luck with the sale. If I could, I would. You were my inspiration to start collecting games. You are missed.

Wow!

I'm relatively new to this site so I've never had the pleasure of chatting with you on the forums. But I've watched you on the tube and seen your arcade thru video links and arcade mock-ups. Great setup.

I'm not buying squat, unfortunatley, but just thought I'd say hope everything is well. Good luck, sir.

Woah, didn't expect this one coming. Good luck on the sale though!

I have a strange feeling this is going to be a very long thread...

What are you asking for the house and games?

- Mike

Hi Michael,

As I told someone else: No idea money-wise. Honestly - I don't even seriously expect to get a taker - so I haven't really thought about the price. I would definitely want to get it professionally appraised and sell it for market value + a little bit for the machines and stuff that conveys. Somewhere around $800k - $900k is my wild-ass guess based on previous appraisals we've had for refinancing, etc. The market is down now in this area, so those figures may be high. I just don't know.

Not looking to profit - just looking to get out without losing my ass.

Most importantly I'm just trying to find a Charlie to take over the Chocolate Factory. If I can find that guy, then we can figure out a price.

-Peter

Peter,

Best of luck with your sale. The pictures of your arcade were one of my biggest inspirations for my game room.

Peter, man, what a tough decision, but we support you doing what you have to do for you and your family. You were (and still are) an inspiration to me with all that you have, and continue to accomplish. Wishing you the best on whatever happens.

What a shock to see this post! Luna City is fantastic, an inspiration to many I'm sure. This has to be a painfull decision for you, Peter. Best wishes and I sincerely hope that you find your Charlie.

I know there'd be stuff going on, I hope this last step wasn't a consequence of the 13th. I've been kicking myself for missing the last arcade day, even moreso now, hopefully the right person will be able to take things over and maybe there will be arcade days in the future. I wish like hell I could afford the mortgage on a property like that, it's not in the cards for me at the moment. Good luck with the sale.

Good things happen to good people. I have seen you and your family open your home to others. Brought happiness to many, many people bringing them back to their youth and times spent in the 80's Arcades. You and your family have made donations opening your Home Arcade to others in order to help. God bless you and your family, if it's a sale that you truly want/need i believe someone is out there to buy the worlds most famous Home Arcade.

Good luck,

Braido...

Good luck on the sale, Peter. It's sad to see that you've either lost your passion for the arcade or that something else has come up to drive you to make this decision. If I lived out east or I had a mind to relocate, I'd be making an offer right now. I hope you find the right buyer...

I'll take a box of the chocolate bars, please make sure I get one with a golden ticket.

Anyhoo....assuming the reds are the keepers, is there a reason you're taking all the good games with you from the chocolate factory?

Peter,
I was able to take my son and wife to your last game day and it was a great memory to have to say the least. I am going to buy a mega millions ticket and cross my fingers. I wish you the best. This is the saddest post I have read on KLOV.

Best of luck to you with the sale. Your arcade is nothing short of amazing, and from all the comments, it sounds like you're a class act to boot.

Not trying to get personal or anything, but I was wondering if this sale is due to you losing your passion for games and wanting to move on, or is this a financial decision? Time are really tough these days for so many people. I would hate to know that you were "forced" to decide to sell your property because of tough times.

I have owned my own company for 18 years now, and although we have been through tough times before (1996 was especially rough for us), we have NEVER seen consumer spending down as much as it has been over the last 6 to 8 months. Here in the last couple of weeks, things have picked up, but customer expectations are beyond unreasonable. With this recent increase of sales, we were caught off guard and have been running out of various items. Just as soon as people find out that we can't ship out something on the same day the order is placed, they cancel their orders from impatience. We RARELY have backorders, but now that we are behind, people are being not being understanding AT ALL.

Good luck with the sale...
