the caption on the pic reads:

"Hmm new drawing in the hallway"

thoughts?

I think Stern is doing one heck of a job to promote the new machines in a new way.

Who ever they have doing these postings has generated more threads about stern than I have seen in a long time

yeeeeeeeeah........a new poor quality, obsolete technology ridden, unreliable, piece of shiiii....errr pin

lol. at least we're getting new pins. stern may never be better than williams, but i'm happy as hell that they're around.

it'll be a sad day if (when?) stern ever closes their doors.

i agree. i think the facebook thing is a great idea.

Ronny James Dio pin?
Hasn't a short angry troll theme already been done (LOTR) heh heh

It's going to be the real Heaven And Hell. As in... God vs. The Devil!!

Here's my reply from the Tron thread:

I heard they're finally getting the God license and the next pin will be called "Heaven And Hell" featuring 2 Rudy heads which will be God and Satan. It's going to have 2 full playfields. You'll start in hell and when you finish all of the hell modes the playfield flips over and you try to get to heaven on a totally different playfield. Both playfields will have 2 Rudy heads. There's also a separate mini-playfield like Family guy that flips over independent of the main playfield. The backbox is going to be an HDTV and the NIB price is $3K.

Should be sweet. I'm on pre-order.

Wow Lindsey - nice pin ya thought up. How is this going to serve the catholics since they believe in purgatory? 3 tables? lmao
So I'll add - the theme songs of hell will be
1.) Goddamned devil by Ugly Kid Joe
2.) King Diamond - pick a song they're all freaky anyway
3.) Slayer - seasons of the abyss
4.) Iron Maiden - 666

Now imagine the battle between heaven and hell the music is from the movie crossroads where Ralph Machio battles against Steve Vai.

Heaven song tracks:

Stryker - to hell with the devil
I uhhhhh mmmmmmm uuuuhhhh yeah I got nothing else :p

Good start. I think Raining Blood by Slayer would be a great multi-ball song.

In all seriousness if I ever create my own pin I think the first one I build will be called Heaven And Hell. Obviously it won't be as insane as the one Stern is building but I think it's a theme you could do a lot with. Cool art, cool music, cool clips from a million different movies, etc...

That movie is what got me playing guitar. I absolutely love that movie.

Oh man there are so many. Even Sabbath could be on the Heaven side.

From "After Forever" by Black Sabbath (great song!):

They should realize before they criticize
that God is the only way to love.

Anyone who says Sabbath are Satanic has never listened to the lyrics.

sounds awesome, but who did they have to get a god license from?

A few years ago it would have been God but the rights were purchased by Gene Simmons.

and how the hell does a playfield flip over?

It has a mechanism that drops the playfield into the cabinet and flips it then raises it back to normal playing position. I also heard that they're going to use this mechanism to auto-level the playfield!

Here is one they posted a few days earlier.
Something about fiber optic light.

A Tron Pinball would differently be something I would buy. If it was done right.
More so then Iron Man and Spiderman.

Interesting!

I would like to see a Tron machine, although many people may not 'get it', but with the new movie it could work if done well.

I want Stern to do well, I really do, but this mass production of licensed themes just gets old to me. Nothing is original anymore :(

Remember Police Force, Pin-Bot, Medieval Madness, Junk Yard. etc.... Yes Williams / Bally had licensed themes as well, but that's not ALL they did. Look at arguably the best machine ever made, Medieval Madness. Not a licensed pin, but damn if it isn't popular!

Good Luck Stern, I hope you do well.

i seriously doubt we're gonna see original themes anymore. stern has to try and hit a home run every time out. they cannot afford a flop. IMO, they're banking on the license appealing to one part of their audience and the gameplay appealing to the other part.

i love the old original theme titles too, but i don't have a problem with the uber-license approach either.

just my two pennies.
