Aside from CAX, which many KLOVers attend, does anybody have any plans to hit up any pinball expos? I'm going to choose a single show this year and go. Right now it's between Pinball Expo (Chigaco) and Pacific Pinball Expo. I'm also thinking about the Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown as that would be a short trip for me.

Problem is, I don't have anybody to go with. :(

I'm in the same boat (no one to go with). I would love to head up to the Allentown or York PA Pinball shows this year. Not sure if it will happen or not.

It's a tough call for me. Right now I'm planning to go to the Seattle show. I would also love to go to the supershow because Rob and Steve have been awesome to me and I would love to meet those guys in person.

Then there's the Stern tour at Expo... I would love to go to that too.

Im going to the show in Seattle in June as well. Whats the name of that show again? I have been having a hard time getting info on that one. I am also hoping to find some reasonably priced machines, and meet some other enthusiests!

I haven't been to Allentown in 4 years I think but I'm REALLY wanting to do it this year. Not much interest witih any of the other local guys yet. I could always drop the wife off at the King of Prussia mall for the weekend. I had a lot of great times at the Allentown in past years.

I think I am going to be going to allentown this year. Some of the local guys will be going in a u-haul and asked if I wanted to go with. figured it would be a fun trip.

I`ll probably go to Allentown if i can strike a couple of deals\trades beforehand.

Allentown! Will be my first pinball show, as I've just found the hobby. I'll be bringing my Paragon machine for sure and possibly Captain Fantastic, though that one may not be ready. Looking to sell/trade the Paragon and maybe pick up another game or two if good deals present themselves. My wish list includes most 1980s Williams titles and other early Bally SS games.

I've been going to Allentown for around 10 years now. It's a great pinball show to go to. I've had luck buying and selling there. It's great show, and I look forward to it every year.

Pinball Showdown!!!

I'll be heading to the Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown again this year. Great show for playing pinball!

Hmm, that Northwests show looks tempting.

I nearly went to Rob and Steve's show last year, but just couldn't make it happen. I'd love to meet those guys in person, they're truly a couple of the best personalities in the hobby.

I just registered for for the NW pinball show. Really stoked about this. Now I have to decide if I want to become a sponsor or not.

Video/commercial for the NW Pinball & Gameroom Show (AKA "The Seattle Show") this June:

Steve Wiebe will be speaking, as will George Gomez (Tron, Spy Hunter, Monster Bash, Lord of the Rings), John Trudeau (Bride of Pinbot, Creature, Judge Dredd), and David Thiel (Golden Tee, Q Bert, Reactor, Mad Planets, Indiana Jones, Spiderman). It's a great space at the Seattle Center in the shadow of the Space Needle and Key Arena. We use 3 large rooms, on full of about 170 pins, another with 150 vids, and a third room for speakers Saturday. Here's a walk thru of the 2009 Show venue that Greg Dunlap shot, to give you a feel for the show:

Tickets and more info (we have close by hotel deals for the show):
http://www.nwpinballshow.com

Advance tickets are only $40 for a 3-day pass through May, it's a pretty cheap show for all the games and speakers. We'll be raffling off a Ms Pac and a few pins, there's an IFPA-sanctioned pinball tournament, lotsa arcade high score attempts, and it's a non-profit show all volunteer run by local collectors. We hope to see you in Seattle this Summer! Thanks!!!

I will be going to the Allentown one. This will be my frist one, my friend and fellow KLOVer will be going. He plans to pick up a machine or two, and I might if I find a really good deal. Hell I will be happy just to play some pinball. I will be there friday and sunday. I can't make saturday as I have meeting for a club that I a member of. Can't miss it as its the last meeting before a big convention we are attending.

Ok back on topic. With all of those planning on coming to the Allentown show, would you guys be interested in meeting up at a local resturant before/during/after the convention? Would be nice to meet you guys, and maybe hang with a few of you at the show for some time with more experianced pin collectors.

Out of curiosity, why are people favoring the NW show over the Pacific Pinball Expo so much? I'm seriously thinking about trying to make both, as I'd like to get my LOTR and Bride of Pinbot translites signed by the designers.
