I need cabinet colors.

My restoration is nearly complete but i'm being held up by cabinet colors. Anybody have one of these they could check out for me?

Here's my CP, ready to go.

Thanks but not quite what i need. Gives me an idea though. Is the dark reddish brown on Elevator action and Wild Western the same as the dark color on Tin Star? Anybody have those games to compare?

Ill just take my best guess then since there are no other Tin Stars on the planet to even compare mine with :)

One sold locally to me (AL) a couple of years ago, and went out of state, no idea about it, just mentioning it to say there are probably a few out there.

It's in a GREEN taito cabinet now. Is that original? Using your logic i should keep it as is because that's how i got it.

I could sand the sh*t out of it, try to get the mold out, spray fabreeze in there, fill in the holes, prime then paint.

OR

I could use the EXACT type of wood, cut it, prime and paint it just like the factory did.

The cab is a reproduction. Does it make much difference if the color is off a shade or two?

You could match the orange and brown to the CPO, although I don't know how close that would be the factory colors.

I can't imagine how low the #'s are for a dedicated Tin Star. Hell, I didn't think one existed till recently. The ones I ever saw were a conversion from Jungle Hunt/King.

There was two on here I recall seeing for sale. Sucks... because I dragged my feet too long and missed out on the chance for one.:(

I have most of the pieces to make one except for the fact my bezel sucks. Tell me this is on the queue!

Dj Dns had sold his dedicated one a while ago if I recall. I have a real nice full kit (not for sale) ready to go when I get around to the project. I have a painted up black Taito cab that'll eventually have to sand, bondo, stencil, etc.

There was another one on Tennessee???

Yeah... a restoration.

Yeah... a reproduction.

Where is the argument?

Not that anyone's going to think, "Well, derSturm said it, so it must be true" or anything, but I have to admit that, if I had the means I would cut new cabs like Fiz does. Stripping and sanding and stripping and sanding and bondo-ing and sanding and re-bondo-ing and sanding and putty-ing and sanding and re-putty-ing and sanding and... SUCKS. I do it because I don't have a CNC sawmill. If I had the means I would do what he does and then sell the original cabs to folks like me who have to do it the hard way.

Just sayin.
