Anybody like Xybots?

The game reminded me of Contra when it first came out, it's ok if you like that style of game.

Love Xybots! I owned one for several years and it always got a lot of play when I opened my garage arcade up at Halloween and when I'd bring it to CAX (California Extreme) at the Santa Clara Convention Center. I like it MUCH more than Xenophobe. While Xybots is undeniably more fun to play with two players, it's still a lot of fun just on your own. Congratulations on the pick up!

Side note: If you need to rebuild the joysticks, you can use a rubber garbage disposal gasket from your local hardware store to replace the rubber. It's inexpensive and a perfect fit!
Thanks Carrie!

Picked this up yesterday. I don't believe I've ever seen one in person in all my 55 years. Just bought it because I thought the cabinet looked cool. I once bought a Xenophobe for the same reason—hope this game is funner that that thing was.
I'm a fan! The cool thing about Xybots is that it actually has a boss to reach.

Oddly I have zero memory of playing this game back in the day.

I looked at a couple YouTube videos and it looks fun to me...

One of those popped up on Craigslist in MN a few days ago. I had to look it up. I don't remember seeing one before either.

All I remember of that cab is I once saw a SF2 setup crammed into one BITD. Never played the original.

Finally got around to opening 'er up. This thing's been molested worse than a group of cousins at Uncle Touchy's Basement Puppet Theater, and is twice as dirty!

Am I reading that right, 218,958 credits. Thats a lot of play; free or not. Thats 61hrs of non stop quarter dropping.
Over $54,000 in revenue.

That game earned its price around 15 times over. At least.

Wow I don't think I have ever seen a machine that dirty inside, must have been set it and forget it just collect it, anyone work on the boards I have a dead one

I played a quite a bit of it at our local arcade bitd with my best friend.

My issue, like with Vindicators, the gameplay inmho... relies too much on coop play.

Single player is not bad at first but on the higher levels you definitely need a teammate to clear out stages. And yes, you can keep continuing but where's the fun in that???
