anybody interested in a huo nato defense?

An operator buddy of mine bought this new in the box around six years ago and just like many of us do, he grew tired of it and it's been sitting on his showroom floor pretty much untouched for years. His best estimation of runtime on the game is about 20 hours and it truly has never seen an arcade or smokey nasty environment.

I personally have no interest in this thing for my collection but it has a pristine GO7 monitor that i want. The cabinet is beautiful and it would be a shame to see this scrapped for parts (yes i said it) but one way or another i will have this monitor.

I have another burn free monitor (hantarex) that i will put in it if somebody wants the game and it won't be molested any further. There's a possibility of some extra artwork and a boardset that would go along with this if he can find the stuff but no guarantees, his shop is full of crap and there's a good possibility he won't find any of it.

If somebody here is interested in the whole game, i'll get some pics. of it and worse case i would scrap it but there would have to be enough solid/prepaid interest for me to consider it cuz i know i'll definitely catch hell for this one.

I really have no idea of what kind of price to put on this, all i can say is that it will cost me a small fortune buying this thing just to pull the monitor out of it but i want it that bad. If somebody wants to throw out a price on the game with no monitor or a price with a different monitor, please feel free.

Now that this is home, i can share a few more details. This thing really is in beautiful comdition, there are 152 clicks on the coin meter and the inside of this thing is clean enough to eat off of. There are a couple issues with it that are age related however. The original cassette player does power up and i've verified that the tape is working but the drive belt will need replacing. I can here the motor running but i'm sure the belt has dry rotted into a few pieces, not a big deal. The other issue is the cpo, it has started to delaminate and will need replacing. lucky for you, i have a NOS one that goes with the game. It has the coin box intact but the key for the upper barrel lock is gone, i do have the lower and back door keys though.

The cabinet formica is ding free, corners are sharp and no formica is chipped. T-molding is nice.

Here's a few pics:

And the reason i bought it was because of this beauty. The tube is burn free and the chassis barely even has dust on it. I'm gonna yank all the original caps out and put this on a shelf for a couple years till the game i'm gonna use it on is restored.

My Shark Attack monitor was absolutely burn free too, guess these games didn't last long in the wild and sat in storage most of their lives.

The cab looks beautiful. That one would have been a sin to part.

edit: Wow, looking at the pics again I can't believe how clean it is.

JR finally sold that thing? I remember seeing it just sitting there for so many years looking so lonely, was kind of wondering why he held on to it but I didn't know it was an HUO, makes sense now. Nice score for somebody, that thing was mint IIRC :)

I've been trying to buy the monitor out of this thing for about 3 years and he just wouldn't do it. He finally called with with a price on the whole game that was a bit high for what i wanted out of it but reasonable enough considering it's condition. This thing really is nice and the buyer should be happy.
