I got a Circus Charlie a few weeks back - came as a package with the Track and Field I picked up (had to buy both). Thought I'd resto it, but I have other projects I'd rather focus on. On top of that, I'm not a huge Circus Charlie guy, but I know it's not a terribly common game and some people are really into it. I've attached some pics. Cabinet is sound/solid, but the sides have been painted black. CPO is in rough shape. Marquee is quite nice. Monitor (WG 19K4961) seems to have very little burn and displays well. There seems to be a pcb issue with graphics (see pic) - not sure if it's a ROM problem or what. Also has no sound and I can't seem to get it to add credits.

I think it would be a good project for the right person - anyone agree/disagree? I'd love to trade it for a Taito cab. Thoughts/comments?

i make reproduction Taito cabinets, and i'm 3 hours from you, up rt 75 by bowling green ohio. If your willing to pickup/drop off (i don't have a truck) i'd swap a brand new birch taito cab for it.

Mod, how do you not have this game yet?! I'll chip in $10 for you to finally get your grail. :p

I have the board and a cab that could be converted - but I'd rather have the original. They just never come up down here, and the ones far way cost too much to get here...

Damn...

And I went through Cincinnati this past week with the truck while on a road trip with my son... :(

Well, Circus Charlie has a new home - delivered it to WarLordAG this weekend. Worked out well - even though he said he didn't have a Taito cab, he did have one he was willing to part with that will make for a fine project. In addition, I was treated to a tour of an AWESOME home arcade - 30+ games all in working condition, most looking very minty including an impressive Nintendo row! I resisted the urge to dive in with my family waiting in the truck, but hopefully I will get the chance in the future.... Thanks, man!

Jarrod's got a nice setup no doubt about it. He's been wanting this game for quite some time. Do you have pictures of the t&f you got with this? I remember some guy in Dayton area trying to sell both together a few years ago but i walked from deal as he had "raised" his price due to the interest he was getting. Last i heard he had to leave the games in his house that he was moving from because he was relocating to Massachusetts.

just think how much better of a trip it woulda been to have gone back home with a Galaga machine in addition to that Taito cab! :001_sbiggrin:
