My Star Wars Trilogy I converted to 55inch lcd looked great. I dont know why but the thing seem to eat LCD conversion boards...

Seems unusual. They die in such a way that The board still powers up and you can go through the menu and change every thing except the geometry. When I change the display setting it will show like a scrambled image. Second board this has happened to me on. Are there any better boards to use?

Learn to work on monitors instead of taking the perceived easy way out by putting in an inferior product. Not trying to be mean or ugly, here, but these games weren't meant for cheap LCDs that have a lifespan of a few years. There's ton of information out there to learn to work on monitors, for those who are interested in learning. We are a preservation site here, after all.

Buddy plenty of people have replaced the horribly burned 50inch rear projection crts in Sega games like Star Wars Trilogy. Not exactly a K7000/ 4600/ 4900 /G07.

I'd never do that to a Golden era game. Those monstrosities aren't very common (the three small rgb projected crts) and try finding one without sever burn almost impossible- I'd rather have the Game playing than sitting collecting dust. 55inch CRT looks excellent.

Medium res games dont look bad at all with LCDs. Ask around.

LCD monitors last way longer than CRT monitors in my experience.

Aaand the only useful response in this comes the annoying Patrick spaming guy. How ironic.
Yea those video adapters are Chinesium shit and lots o threads about them being a gamble for durability. A CGA lcd would at least drop out that failure point .

Even though I can fix or find the right monitor, that is one " behemoth "I might make an exception.

Exactly. I seen one on location in Georgia that looked so good and stockist it inspired me with the 55inch....not like it's a Major Havoc...
