Just wondering who here has a crane/claw machin as part of their collection. They can be fun if really frustrating. Would be cool to have one day when I have my dreamcade.

I picked up a Grayhound Skill Crane last year. Cleaned it up and put some LED lights in it. The kids love it! I would love to custom paint it someday, maybe with some cool Tron-style art or something.

I got mine for $100 last year. It needed the base repaired and needs a new plex on the left side, but worked perfectly. Nice Craigslist find! Drove 3 hours to get it because my daughters have been begging for one. Now we keep all of our old stuffed animals in it and the big competition is to see if we can empty it out. Fun!

I would if there was any to find! :( Would go nicely with the collection.

I bought one of the little plastic counter top GrabIt toy candy cranes on Ebay. It was always a huge hit at parties and whenever somebody was over (I even used to use it rather than go dig in the pantry for some candy :)). We finally wore the damn thing out, now I have to either tear it all apart to try to fix the up/down mechanism or just buy a new one. :(

Just got a skill crane a little while ago. Can't wait to see my nieces and nephews reactions when they come over for the holiday parties!

Does having one of those make it easier to clean one out in the wild? (I'm referring to yours specifically, I know cranes come in all shapes, sizes, and skill types)

I thought when I bought it I would, but honestly with all the diff lvl's of settings you can make it next to impossible to win. I put a 5 bucks into one at a hotel and didnt even win a "easy" prize so I figured they must have it set high

I have a Greyhound CandyShop crane like this one pictured.....
The younger kids love it, imagine that.

Bought 2 candy cranes at the last arcade auction, sold one which paid for the other plus some pocket cash. There was enough stuffed animals and toys around the house, but the kids and myself can never have enough candy. Plus you can still get your claw fix.

I HAD a Greyhound skill crane (like one that was pictured in a previous post). I donated it to a charity auction. Now I have a Betson Big Choice crane (like one pictured in a previous post). Damn thing has a PCB problem.

I had my friends kids over one time when the crane was working. It kept them busy for HOURS! I showed them how to add credits and how to reload it with stuff.

Picked this up last week. I've been looking for one for a while now...

My 11yr old has one in his room.

He said he would pay me back for it so I spent $25 + tax/fees and picked one up at the auction. A few bucks in parts and it was done!

And as a plus, he paid back every penny.

It's a HUGE hit with the kids! If you have space, I highly recommend getting one.
Mine is a Betson "Big Choice" crane. Sold to me for $100 as "working" with broken glass, but also had a locked up motor. Cool part was the vendor forgot a box of spare parts in the bottom which included a brand new motor and PCB. Found 1/4" plate glass at a local Habitat store for $5 and Betson sent me the manual (works wonders emailing from a large business).

Last party I think the kids ran a 1,000 tokens through this thing....

How much does it make off of his friends?
