Anybody from PA remember the Top Gun ride/game at Dorney?
Hey all-
I was thinking of some of the rides Dorney Park use to have, and I remember one called "Top Gun". It was a real amusement park ride, that allowed everybody on the ride to play against each other. I remember it being a bunch of carts/ planes that would spin in a circle. At the very beginning the ride would spin and the carts would all lift all the ground while spinning. In each cart there was a joystick/ flight stick. Each cart also was equipped with a video game monitor, and you would be able to see all the other players on the video screen. You would play the game while riding the ride, and every time you took a hit, your cart would drop. If you were the last surviving player in the game, your cart would rise to the top, while everybody else was down. You might even been to ride again if you were the winner of the group. I can't remember much about the videogame play- does anybody remember this??
