Anybody else get a Nasty-gram from Captainpinball (Greg from Lansing, Michigan)?

Maybe I am just the lucky one, but I just got a nasty note through ebay's message system about a Ms. Pacman I am selling. Here's what it said....

Creative way to dance around Namco's copy right. Advertise a Namco Reunion board and show it in a picture then in your description "Oh by the way you can get more games if you ask" or something to that effect. I am telling you, Namco is not messing around with these bootleg games. I can give you names of regular people that have had Namco send them warning letters and E-Bay suspends for 3 mos for first offense. Good Luck!!

I make no claims of using a Reunion board in my auction, not do I show a picture of one. So I can only assume that Greg has nominated himself to be the Namco police, and is sending his message of love to all out there who he thinks might be using the xx-in-1 boards.

I am guessing that he recently tried to list such a game and got it closed by ebay, and is now pissed off, and so this is just his way of spreading goodwill to all in the arcade community.

Anybody else hear from the good Captain, or have insight into his dysfunction?

What a douche. There's a good way to leave unwanted advice, and a way not to leave it. He picked the dickhead way to offer advice. If he's got an email heading to skynet, that can't be good. Keep the dog close by. When it barks, open fire.

well, i got hit at ebay for trying to sell my 48/1.. they said namco saw my listing and reported it.. anyway, the dude is wrong.. i just got my auction pulled and no suspension

I too got a nasty message from that idiot at captain pinball his name is Greg. He recently sent me this email about my craigslist ad selling a track and field game.

"From looking at your description I would be afraid you would "talk" me to death. I have never seeen anyone ramble on about a stupid video game. LOL!!! How about just saying: Track n Field Video game plays great look at pictures. You go on a long as paragraph after paragraph about the history etc. "WHO F$%%^ CARES!!! I hope you feel really stupid as you should...."

Nice huh?

Everyone that has been abused by this internet tough guy needs to report him to craigslist and to eBay.
That is flat out harrasment and shouldn't be tolerated. It doesn;t matter if the multi's are illegal - that's not his place to say. And if you want to write a damn book (which you did lol) about a game go for it ... it's your ad.

And you should also call these people and tell them about this internet jackass. It's who owns cablespeed.com

....How Ironic. This is the same guy that has cracked the encryption of the Golden Tee's and is offering to upgrade ones boards to feature all the courses. LOL

I haven't gotten any nasty grams from him, but I have watched several of his auctions on E-bay, as they are semi close to me for pickup. After reading these posts I certainly will NOT consider ever bidding on anything of his. Who the hell does he think he is?

Whenever I hear about this guy, I always think of this pin:

Where is that info posted? I hate people like this and will go out of my way to hang someone like him. I.T. Technologies should really be informed of this ahole

Just take his email and subscribe him to 10 plus free internet porn sites. That should keep him busy for a month trying to get his name off their spam.

Not that I would ever do that.

I got one from him about charging too much on a CL listing... It didn't bother me too much...

he is on here too...

I always thought it funny... cause if you watch the ebay sales.. you can see whats going on, or at least you used to when it was easier to see who else was bidding....

and yes.. ebay popped me too.. all they did was take down my listing... no big deal...

dunno why people bash others about price and listings.. when they go all out to make as much as they can too... thats sorta the point I thought... and to be fair about it above all else...

Somebody send him a return e-mail informing him that - after a review from the Union of Registered Auctioners for Disciplining Irrationally Childish Kibitzing (URADICK) - he's being demoted to Lieutenant Pinball and is hereby placed upon a 6-month probationary period....
