But isn't an Op and uses it only for "personal use"? I am considering getting something to reduce the "hassle" trying to shove games in a pickup and fight the elements. I could get an old used 1 ton for around 2000 running but not the prettiest moving specimen. Anybody have to cross the boarder and explain that the are not commercial or do you still have to do the truck crossing and fill out mass amounts of paperwork?

I went with a 7 x 12 cargo trailer vs a cube van. You're right fighting the elements north of the 49 can be a bitch. I was sick of hauling games with the useless half tons they make these days that only have 5 foot deep beds.
As long as the cube van is registered to you & not a company you shouldn't have any extra hassles at the border, I simply tell customs that I'm a collector & games are not for resale when they ask regarding them.

I work at a car lot. Yes, they are nice. I have been able to borrow several over the years.

A box truck with a liftgate is freaking heaven. You can add a liftgate to a van that didnt have one originally. Make sure that whatever you buy has at least a 7 foot ceiling height.

Also look at door height, not only ceiling height.... just because it'll fit once you get it inside doesn't mean you can get it inside. Almost got burned bad on that one once.

If you go with a enclosed trailer then you do not have the extra expence of insurance and plates. I bought a new 6x12 for $2000 + $500 for delivery. In Michigan we can buy a plate that is a life time plate. Plus the trailer will not break down and cost a lot of money to fix, the worst that could go wrong on a trailer is tires. If you go the trailer rout try to find one with a double axle and a ramp rear door. I have a single axle and have to keep it hooked up to the truck when unloading.

Never buy a cub van. Know a guy who bought a cube van!
