I know this is a little off-topic for this, but I was wondering if there were a way to actually read the files in a chd (like windows explorer, etc.)? ...Seems to me you can't. I'd like to see if it's possible to modify settings, characters, etc..

Just a thought!

Thanks Darren... That video is pretty clear on the subject, but I'm having a problem getting chdman to respond like the video. I have windows 7 64-bit and downloaded what appeared to be the version of chdman I need (which is chdman64.exe) but when I do the commands in the video it's telling me that my chd isn't compatible. :-/

The other question: Once the .img is complete, if I mount it in a virtual drive will I then be able to see whatever files/folders are actually in the chd? ...Again, I'm just curious how the file system works and wonder if there's a dedicated file/folder for password protected savegames that I can possibly tinker with.
