Good morning,

This goes out to the EM guys. I have an issue with my machine some of you have helped me a great deal already and I thank you. I have an older Recel Checkmate that had issues, score relay just causing the machine to cycle. Well that is fixed, thanks Robran! Well the game will coin up now but it still thinks it's tilted, flippers won't work. The switches are closed switches and I jumped out the slam door tilt switch to no avail. I am not going to be selling this game anytime soon and was wondering if I can just bypass all the Tilts? I hope this does not offend any die hard EM guys. :)

It does have a plumbob switch and also a lift switch but no steel ball on it. It never had one since I bought it and has been working.

Thanks for your help

Have you tried the slam switch closed and open? Some are supposed to be closed... some are supposed to be open.

Bypassing tilt

What I did was first remove one wire to "read" open and the machine would not even coin up. Then I just jumped the switch and it would coin up but then no flipper and tilt light on.

Tilting pinball

I found the slam switch on the coin door, the tilt bob, the steel ball, there was one on the bottom of the machine. Thats all I seen?

There should be about 4 or 5 tilt switches...did you check them all???

I was working on this with him and not really familiar with EM's but what I saw was 2 switch assembly's for tilt...one being a tilt hold and one being tilt relay. I pulled back the 2 leafs on the relay a little and the tilt light went off but the game was still stuck in tilt mode. I also tried this with the one leaf on the tilt hold and no change.
