My brother in law has a Golden Tee 2005. Unfortunately, its home is in a garage and height is limited to where the DMD topper has to be folded down. Is there a market for the DMD toppers? and if anyone knows a rough price of what they go for?.... or hell at least another use for it (doesn't currently display the correct location)
Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Our location is Chicago... and I know it wasn't that... I thought the location was set on the mainboard... and updated by the old network IT had when they "called home."
I haven't done much research yet.
Wasn't sure if these DMDs could be pulled out and used for other things even?

I had almost a dozen of these things and couldn't even give them away, so I'd say recycle the electronics.

I picked up a Golden Tee 2005 from an auction without the topper. I felt that the topper would "complete" the game, and I had a ceiling that would support it. I paid $45 shipped to buy a working one from a member here. I'm sure $15 to $20 of that was shipping cost because they are big and heavy. Yes, they can't call home and update the location, but it still has all kinds of information that scrolls across the top for a neat retro LED effect.

There was someone on the BYOAC boards awhile back that was trying to hack one of these to scroll custom messages, but I don't think he was successful.

I talked to they guy at BYOAC at one point, he was close but ran out of time with his other projects. He was supposed to send me his research, as he was really close. I will check up on him and see if I can't get info out of him as I have one sitting on the shelf already wired up with power that I want to scroll my arcade name and junk like that.

Thanks for all the help guys, I can always count on this community!
I'd love any other info you dig up, my "research" aka googling hasn't turned up anything.
