I picked up a Atari Rush game and I am having a hard time cleaning the seat and monitor surround. It is the bright green plastic and all the common traffic areas are pretty gunked up. I have tried magic eraser, goo gone with different scotchbrite pads, steel wool, and even some carburetor cleaner. Nothing has worked. Before I go and purchase additional products I was wondering if anyone has had success with this and could point me in the right direction.

Have you tried Simple Green or 409 ?

I've cleaned these before. Here's what I do:

Remove the monitor surround assembly and unplug all cables from it. Remove the seat assembly too.

Now take all the parts off of them like light fixtures, speakers, pushbuttons, etc. until you have just the bare green plastic.

Take it outside and spray it with Mean Green, 409, Fantastik, or other household cleaner. Now scrub with a scrub brush. Rinse off with a garden hose and let the plastic dry out in the sun for a few hours.

It'll look like new when dry and then you can reassemble it.
