Any think that Propcycle would be good for losing weight?

Ahhh I remember sweating my butt off playing that game at Kahunaville; it'd literally sweat the beer right out of you!

If you really want to sweat try carrying the base to the bike down stairs! It has markers for a fork lift, I was in front of it going down the stairs, with my brother and father guiding it from the top. Slid it down on a blanket. Good thing I am almost 300 lbs, because I was able to push back. I am sure it would have crushed my dad if he were at the bottom!

Congratulations on the great pick-up!

Wayne Campbell put it best when he said, "It will be mine... oh, yes... it will be mine..." ;)

Congrats!! :D

I spent years riding a stationary bike and playing console games while riding it. It was a workout at first, but then it got so I could go for 2 hours at a time at about 25 mph and not break a sweat... but still not lose any weight... it sucked!

However I had to do it because my husband had a major hissy fit when I would spend a few hours playing a game... yet he was okay with me spending a few hours exercising :D

So, it may be great for you at first, but I think the benefits might slow down after a while! Either way, best of luck to you!

Your husband sounds like a task master! :) We will see if I lose weight from playing. I will have a good time at least! And wow on the 2 hours while playing a game! I assume they were mostly RPGs?

Yup, they were all RPG's!! :D Some days I would play/ride for as long as 4-5 hours... since the house was clean and supper planned would be easy, and our daughter was in school.

The sad part is I could ride all that time w/o breaking a sweat, but could barely walk up a big hill at the local golf course... so it was great for some muscles, horrible for others! I found that to be the case as well this past winter when we got a swim spa... I would job against the currents for between 2.5-3 hours on most days (I did lose a lot of weight doing this though) but when I felt strong enough to jog on the roads, I just did not have the lung capacity to do it!! 1/4 mile down the driveway and I was totally dying!!! Yet the next day would come and I could jog in the spa for hours again!

This should at least be a great start for you!! I hope it works for you!:)
