Is there any document that describes exactly what board is present on the Taito Qix style PCB setups? I think that would cover Qix, Space Dungeon, Electric Yo-Yo, Kram, Zookeeper and maybe a few others (Complex-X!). Are all the boards interchangeable between the games (replacing ROMs of course)? I know they all don't use a coin processer board, but not sure which is which.

System16.com has information on games running on identical or similar hardware. They used to have pics too, but they seem to have disappeared.

Find the MAME driver file for the game in question and that will point to compatible games on the same (or again, similar) hardware.

Code:
    3 Taito Qix hardware
    4
5 driver by John Butler, Ed Mueller, Aaron Giles
    6
    7 Games supported:
    8 * Qix (3 sets)
    9 * Qix II Tournament
   10 * Zookeeper (3 sets)
   11 * Space Dungeon
   12 * Kram (3 sets, one encrypted)
   13 * The Electric Yo-Yo (2 sets)
   14 * Slither (2 sets)
   15 * Complex X

Browsing the source is pretty interesting. You can check it out online instead of downloading everything.
