Hey Guys,
I'm trying to replace a motor on a sea devil that connects to a chain sprocket, and as I was trying to pull the old motor apart from the chain sprocket that it connects to, I came across a bolt or screw that I'm not familiar with. It runs all the way through the outer axle through the motor axle of the new motor that I'm trying to replace. I can't tell if this connector is threaded or just tapped through but it will not come out. Doesn't appear to use an allen wrench - it is tiny! I have a tiny allen wrench and it is even too big. I tried to puch it out with no luck but stopped because I don't want to damage it. It is flush on one end and extends out on the other (no visible threads).

Any suggestions?
Thanks

In my experience if the head has a recess in it that a tool can go into it is threaded.

Non-threaded pins usually are flat on both ends to facilitate the punch driving them, though it is not unusual for them to be tapered and designed to only insert or remove in one direction.

Are you sure that you aren't binding it?

Thanks, I figured out it was in fact a tension rod punched in. I bought the right size punch and popped it out. Was actually able to reuse it on the new motor.
