I've got a question about how the game should play/react when you get to the levels where you can ricochet your disc off the ceiling to hit the platforms sark is standing on.

Are there a certain number of times you need to hit the platforms before they flicker white and temporarily disappear?

Is it just a specific number of hits or a certain number of hits within an allotted amount of time?

Does where you hit the platform with your disc effect how many times you need to hit it to make it disappear? Like if you hit it dead center maybe it takes less hits to disappear VS hitting the platform near the edge.

On the levels where you can ricochet the disc in this manner but the platforms are also moving up and down can you also hit the platforms with you disc using a straight ahead throw at the platform level?

If so is there an indication that you are hitting the platform like say the disc deflects or makes a sound or visual indication/graphic that the disc hit the platform?

Basically I'm trying to determine if I suck at the game, simply don't understand it or have a board that could be displaying an issue.

Yes, you can hit Sark's platform discs on teh variable levels before you get to the point where you can deflect it off the ceiling, it makes a 'blip' noise. This is actually the easiest way to defeat Sark as he doesn't dodge the disc when it's heading towards his feet, it deflects and hits him.

I have yet to derezz a disc- once I even kept TRON on the far left disc (Sark moved between the center and right) and just kept deflecting it off the ceiling and it never derezzed. I'm at a loss for that.

From what I've determined while playing, it doesn't matter where you hit a platform, you just have to hit it 3x before Sark touches it for it to disappear IIRC. It will also start pulsating and making a noise before it disappears...warning the player that its going You also can't hit it just head on.
