Any Rygar (Arcade Version) Fans out There?

So I finally got my beautiful Jamma adapter from Canada, along with the video cable. The 6 pin cable runs from the adapter to a header on the opposite end of the board. The adapter fits snug, but the video cable is too short. I measured it, and it is about 16 inches or 41 cm long. In the eBay description, he mentions the cables are 30 cm long but should reach the headers on all boards. Even at 41 cm, this cable ain't reaching shit. I put in a request to have an 18 inch (46 cm) cable made and shipped to me. We'll see how that goes. Damn, waited all this time and I still can't try out the board I picked up.

Allows you to use your Tehkan classic pre-JAMMA game, in a JAMMA cabinet or a super gun device.

Before they became Tecmo later in the decade, Tehkan produced many successful arcade games in the the 1980s. Just like many arcade game manufacturers from this period, their games shared similar hardware and pinout configuration.

One of the more unique feature of this pinout class, is the separate 6 pin, single row 2.54mm pin header for video. Some bootleg boards use a 5 pin connector on the PCB, sometimes with a shroud around the pins. The video header is typically on the opposite end of the board in relation to the edge connector.

This adapter includes a cable that can be used in both genuine 6 pin Tehkan and 5 pin bootleg pcb variants and is 30cm long that should be long enough for all boards.

Compatibility:

This is the list of compatible games that can be used with this adapter:

Guzzler
Senjyo
Space Tank
Bomb Jack *
Star Force
Gridiron Fight
Lovely Poker
Mega Force
Pinball Action *
Pontoon
Tank Busters
Argos No Senshi – Legendary Warrior
Rygar
Solomon's Key
Tee'd Off

Post reported with a punishment suggestion typed in the memo line. Trying to be a serious collector here.

As a fellow serious collector, I also reported his post in hopes of hard and fast punishment.

How many wires? Why don't you just cut them and extend them with a solder/heat shrink tube job on them?

Looks like possibly 6 wires if my reading comprehension skills are worth even half a tangy schwang these days.

So... 24 wire strips, 12 twists, 12 solders, 12 heat shrinks... might not be worth the time.

That's what I'm saying. I paid for a package containing an adapter with a wiring harness. So far only half my package works. I demand satisfaction.

Phet,

Re: Rygar

Make sure you play the arcade version in MAME or whatever first. It's really nothing at all like the NES version.

Excuse me, sir. You're not allowed to post in the Rygar thread sans dick jokes.

Please edit and update.

Sorry I thought that was only for the Ring King thread.

Carry on.
