Any Rygar (Arcade Version) Fans out There?

Rygar is pretty good. I have fond memories playing it BITD. Surprisingly, I really liked the Lynx version, which was based off the arcade (not the NES). The only thing I found annoying was that in later levels you find yourself ducking most of the time, because all the enemies are low to the ground and you can't hit them while standing up. Otherwise, fun.

I've not heard from him in some time. Last time we hanged, I may have tried to bang, and it must have scared him off.

I just talked to him last week. He is coming down to hang with us at Griffin's house in March for NATT Tournament. Sorry you can't make it JOW. Gonna be a blast.

Got off topic but yes. Rygar.

Played Arcade and NES to the end. The graphics are def better in arcade version but the NES one was a lot more fun and had more variety in levels and gameplay. The arcade feels the same running left to right every level until you reach the end. Gets kinda boring fast.

You don't have to duck all the time, you can ride the flying pterodactyls, you just keep jumping on their backs as they move to the right. You don't get as many points but gets you through really tough spots that you can't fight through on the ground.

This sounds like the bi-annual event that happens in a certain garagecade in Nampa, ID.

Fritz sure went above and beyond for the last event. The raptor wiener bites were a nice touch. There was too much screaming and moaning over there for me to sample though. Color me disappointed.

I can understand the moaning, but why the screaming? Did something scary show up? Was somebody being hurt? Or did you mean screaming like cheering at a baseball game or at a concert for a popular band?

I assume it was a mix of cheering, being hurt AND something scary, because it appeared that guests were fighting over the bites and any bits that were left hanging.

Part of me wants to pickup a Rygar just so I can relive this thread every time I play (and I think you know which part of me that is).

If you're ever parted out, you know what I'm ISO.

With Rygar being a kit game, what do people think is the best cabinet to have it in?

BTW, I want one if anyone sees one for sale.
