I've been walking past my Chase HQ cabinet for 3 months now; and have been through 2 sets of "Untested" boards from ebay with no luck. It's looking like Im going to have to send out my boards and hope someone can make one working board out of my bad boards. Who would you guys recommend?

I'm not sure who repairs Chase HQ boards, but are you sure there isn't a problem with the cab (power supply, monitor, speaker, etc)? It's JAMMA... do you have another JAMMA cab to test the boards in?

It's not typical JAMMA, the pin-outs are not standard JAMMA, and It has a sister video board that connects directly to the monitor. I know the boards are bad, because the cop lights on the marquee flash, and one of the boards I have says "Local RAM error" when it boots up.

I'm also wondering who repairs boards. I have 2 non working MK1 boards. 1 doesn't do anything and the other board works fine but the sounds are all screwy. Random goro sounds etc.

I have a Konami board that works but needs minor repairs(has some disrupted graphics in the character select screen) and I'm not sure who to send it to.

I would recommend posting in the wanted section and including in the title the board name and pcb repair. Keep bumping it until someone offers to fix it or people start telling you to stop bumping it. :)

Not everyone will read this thread because they may not click on it because the title doesn't relate to them.

Just my thoughts, good luck.

What error are you getting or what is the game doing?

Also, could you help me with mine by taking some pics of the inside of your machine?

I have heard channel maniac is good, with a website for his services. I plan to send him my boards in the future.
As far as fixing the MK pcb, I doubt it will be worth it. I seem to recall that the going rate for PCB repair is a about $70 an hour. MK pcb's are the easiest and cheapest to find. I have seen them on e-bay in completely functional state for under $50.

If you can't find anyone here try eldoradogames.com. They will fix it.

A lot of people would dispute that point.

Or that's the last chatter i heard when this topic came up a year or two ago so take it for what it's worth.

I would highly recommend channelmanic. He's a really fair guy and does quality work. He does not work on Williams boards, but does most other stuff.....including those evil Konami boards. :)

I can check the schem and see if I can track down which ram is the 'local ram'. Do you know how to solder?
