I placed an order 8 days ago, and still have not received it, also emailed them 3 days ago with no replies. Any body have problems with them before?

i talked to him last night. He is in the process of moving. I think he put up a note on his site saying shipments are delayed.

1/23/2010 - We're experiencing delays in shipping as we're in the middle of moving to larger quarters. Please accept our apologies. Arcadecomponents.com is a family run business and part of this move is that we keep growing and growing. We're building a new workshop and storage building and this is taking time and coordination to keep everything flowing.

Humm..

8 days? That's not very long, as how many actually business days is that?
The site is owned by a very reputable collector, so I wouldn't worry man..

Remeber the days when we had to wait 2-3 weeks for stuff? Heh.. Give the man some more time..

Where on there web site did you find this? Also my order was placed 1/16/11, request for order info was placed 1/21/11. All this was well before this delay in shipments notification went up(01/23/11?). If they are having problems should they not notify paying customers?

6 Business days to ship 4 ICs across 4 states for $6 shipping. I get Eproms from Canada in 4-5 days, and arcade parts from Hawaii in 4 days. Plus most other businesses will notify me of any delays and respond to emails.

The notice is in their NEWS section... though it should be on their HOME page.

You're also dealing with a guy running this as a 2nd "hobby" business vs others who do it full time. 8 days isn't much time in this hobby.

The 8+ days is just inconvenient, I can live with that. What has my panties in a bunch is not being notified of shipping problems, and not having emails replied to.

Don't stress it... Ray is class act and will deliver... Last I heard is in the middle of moving / setting up shop at a new location. Never had any problems always great service.

In my Experience he is very bad in updates and replying to pm or emails. He's a good guy I'm sure you will get your parts, but he's just really really bad with communication and updates. Just being honest.

Hey everyone,

That's my site and yeah, it's been a bitch here. Here's the story.

We were set to close on a house back in August. Wife got cold feet.

Next we were set to close on another one at the end of December. Bank decided to jack rates from 20% down to 30% down and from 4.275% to 6% interest because they could find no comparables. This sucked and we walked away.

What really hurt was this place had a shop all ready for me to use and be up and running.

Now, we've closed on house #3 on Jan 7th. We've been moving and it's been a PITA. The FIOS connection will be moved a week from tomorrow and all our big stuff will be moving this weekend. There will be a couple of days with no internet.

This house has a game room (YAY!) but NO workshop. I'm meeting with contractor #2 tonight to go over what we want built... and with our electrician on Wednesday morning to talk about how I want it wired. Then I get to meet with contractor #3 later this week. Once bids are in then we can get the construction loan approved.

In the meantime... repairs are shut down until after the move and after I can set up a temporary workbench in the computer room. Some of the backstock of parts has been moved and some have been misplaced - including the 8212s that you ordered.

There are 2 things I can do... keep looking for them or refund that order.

I also had 2 other orders come in for Neo Geo battery replacement services and cap kits which were weird orders. The first person wanted just a battery so I have to process some refunds and ship those... the 2nd person has an email in their inbox about the same thing.

Please let me know on the 8212s what you would like for me to do.

Thanks,

Raymond

OK,

I just looked and figured out what was goign on with the web site.

For some reason the 8212 chips were set to not have "inventory managed" and they were sitting at a count of -6

I know I have a sheet of anti-static foam with a bunch sitting on it but that's the stuff that is lost right now.

I've set the count back to zero and enabled inventory management on that SKU which will disable the ordering of them.

Everything that is on the website is in stock... except for those 8212s...

I know I have them - I had Intel and NEC versions and sold the Intels. It's just finding them in the move.

I'll be making another Post Office run later this week as I have a few other things outside of web orders to ship too.

If you need something that's not on the site, PM me here and I'll let you know if I have 'em. I have a LOT of parts that haven't been added to the site yet.
