Besides t-molding.com what other web-sites (companies) is there in the USA? How much feet to do 2 cabinets? I was gonna get at least 40ft, would that be overkill? Just in case I make mistakes while applying. Also while going over corners you have to put a "notch" like a V to get around the corner correct? Do you really need to use a router for the slit in the edge, or will a dremel work good too? Thanks

About 2 months ago I ordered 20ft of black t-molding for $14 shipped BIN from ebay. There's a regular seller on there, that has it and sells it in 20 foot lots (as one long length). 20ft was enough to do my Super Pac-Man cabinet with 2 or so feet to spare. I think 20 feet is a safe estimate for most cabinets, but you can always take a tape measure and follow the contours of your cabinet to be sure. T-molding can be different on certain cabinets, so make sure research a little before you buy.

twistedquarter.com sells T-molding. mikesarcade.com sells t-molding. I imagine arcadeshop.com sells t-molding. BTW... whats wrong with T-molding.com?

groovygamegear.com has tmolding too by the foot. Their stuff is identical to T-molding.com, but they don't have near the selection. It is nice to have that option if you are already ordering other parts from a vendor. It can save you some shipping.

Out of curiosity does anyone know much the exact shipping is on 20 foot of t-molding @ t-molding.com. Before shipping it comes out to 7.40, but you need an account to calculate shipping charges.

Yes you need to use a router. You'll never be able to keep the dremmel bit straight so the cut will be all wavy. Also you probably will break a few discs or bits using the dremel and it will take a lot longer than just using a correct slot cutter router bit.

Properly prepared, you can route out the channels on an entire cab in under 5 minutes.

Your cut may be a little wavy, but it can be done without breaking a disc or bit. The issue is that it's easy to get a little wide, which a glue gun can take care of. In any case, if you don't have a router, I wouldn't go buying one just for this.

I don't recall exactly. I ordered 60-ft (in 3 20-ft rolls) once. Total was $28.70 and shipping was $8.88...

EDITED to add exact numbers

Who has the cheapest overall? They're all the same molding that I'm aware of. I do need to pick up a bunch, so price is key.

I ordered 40ft from T-molding.com last Saturday. Grand total= 27.72.

Won't be here until the 15th. So 9 days with cheapest shipping.

All t-molding comes from Outwater Plactics. If you're needing bulk....you can go straight to the source...

Most are sold in 250' spools. I think I pay around $65 (including shipping) for a 250' coil. This is for 3/4" black.....other colors/sizer can get more expensive.

Very attractive prices in that amount. I can use a 250' spool of textured black, but I'm not seeing it. Galaxian Green, too.

edit: it's a few pages ahead.

Which color is Galaxian Green? Is that the fresca?

Be careful getting major bulk on the bright colors.....it will fade over the years. I've only ever needed enough Galaxian green for one or two cabinets. I've never bought it in bulk...I'm not sure what it's actual color is.

I only need it for one cab, I could either

A) sell the rest, or

B) ask if they'll sell 25' like they do the others.

For one offs....or colors I don't want bulk setting around.......I just use ArcadeShop. At $10 a cabinet, that's very reasonable.

I can't argue with the price, but muliple shipping costs suck.

Truth is I would purchase so many more things, more often, if it wasn't for shipping costs.
