Any Opinions On These Cap Kits?

i know bob roberts sells a ton of these so you'll get fresh caps from him unlike some that sell 10-15 year old stock

In Bob's defense, Paypal has serious issues. Google them to find out more.

I've never had a single issue with Pay Pal. Some like it, some don't. All I know is it works and is very convenient. I think it is mostly older people that have issue with Pay Pal, it seems more like a generational thing. Like at my work, most of the older people refuse direct deposit, because they don't trust the banks.

I get my cap kits from twisted quarter. Usually from their ebay store (search for wells gardner get well it.. I just ordered a 7400 cap kit from them last week. They always ship things out quick

twisted quarter is ok, though I will never spend a dime with them again based on an issue I had with them before.

With bob roberts, I just set up his name on my bill pay and every time I order from him I just click billpay online and he gets paid in 5 days or so (and is fine with it) and I get my stuff.

Just as easy as paypal or better, because the money doesn't come out of your account for 2 or 3 days.

I say don't order caps from ebay at all unless it's a seller you know that has a good reputation and of course good caps. 2nd Don't order jamicon, rubycon, etc as they are not good caps. Not sure about everyone but I want caps I know that are going to last. So I make a list of the caps and order them from digikey myself. I use panasonic caps and panasonic doesn't put their name on it so ordering from digikey I know I'm getting panasonic. If they aren't panasonic or nichicon I won't order them. It's your choice though.

It's got nothing to do with a generation difference between younger and older.

PayPal has had a horrific past history of freezing accounts when a dispute arises. This basically shuts down a business using PayPal when this happens. It also freezes monies in the account.

For the business side, it can be a risky method of payment.

Perhaps this has changed for the better in recent years, but the poor image persists. Please Google about PayPal and frozen accounts to see the other side of the issue.

I have no idea why Bob does not accept PayPal, but with the past public history of PayPal, I can appreciate his decision.

Yeah, any banking worth a crap should have a nice online interface. With my bill pay, it's actually easier to send Bob R payment than mess with Paypal, and less worries.

I've used Pay Pal for close to a decade now and never had an issue, buying or selling. That's why I suggested Pay Pal gift, there's no risk involved for him.

A majority of online retailers take Pay Pal , so I don't see how things could be that bad these days. Just because it started with issues, doesn't mean it would not evolve into something better. He could take credit cards, that would make things easier too. He should really redesign his website while he is at it. It reminds me of a website I would have created on WebTV fifteen years ago...lol. I'm not knocking his expertise, I know he has a wealth of knowledge, but his site needs to get with the times.

You are WAY wrong here. If you haven't yet been stung by PayPus I wouldn't be so smug - you will be back here screaming blue murder "when" they get you and it's a matter of when NOT if......

It has nothing to do with age and everything to do with PayPus being liars and shifty as shithouse rats!

My wife had several hundred $ worth of mysterious charges pop up on her Paypal across 2 or 3 transactions, all at once. No clue what from, how it was compromised, if it had to do with Ebay, etc.. She disputed them and it was taken care of fairly promptly, but that wasn't cool at all and that was just a couple of months ago.

Yes there is - PayPus can freeze his account for no reason and he can't access the payment - gift or not.

I'm amazed at how blinkerred and CONNED people are over PayPus - astounding - Google for yourself and be stunned at how bad they are.
