Any legal ramifications for hosting the Mulit Tatio Images?

I was wondering if I would get in any trouble for hosting the hanho board images for the multi tatio boards. I have a new website I could put them up for everyone.

Not sure but if there are legal issues with it, the concerned parties now know exactly who to look to. You might wanna try a new post all in caps this time that reads " HEY EVERYONE, I'M NOW HOSTING POTENTIALLY ILLEGAL STUFF ON MY WEBSITE"

I haven't hosted anything yet. These boards are legal/legit so the question still remains. If I own the board can I host the image's for the games?

Thanks for very productive answers...

That's one vote for hell no by Chris! Kevin also has a point that I can see but it's not music. Man it's not like everyone can use the images. Only the owners of the boards themselves. The distribute thing like Kevin says will probably kill this idea.

Billy, lets put it this way: if you bought a music album, does that give you the right to make it into an electronic copy that anyone can download?

Your ownership doesn't give you the legal right to distribute it to others... only the right to own and use it yourself.

My two cents...

This is certainly a more elegant way of putting it and my response wasn't really a "hell no" either. We know the boards are legit so i would be inclined to contact the manufacturer and get their take on it without asking here first. Chances are good that they may view this as a benefit to you somehow and the answer will be no. It seems trivial but from a business standpoint, you are stepping into their territory.

The hell no thing was just a funny observation that came to my mind.
Not that you said that in anyway man.

If Paradise Arcade is not being allowed to provide the images -- and they're the ones selling the boards! -- I can't imagine any circumstance under which the owner of the copyright wants the images being shared.

legal issues over a picture tho? it's not like your taking pictures of little girls.

what more could they really do other than say take it down.

lol for some reason i wasn't even thinking that lol. proceed with discussion.

I'd suggest that any questions over the "ethics" of hosting the images are out of the window for now unless HanaHo are able to quickly rectify this fault present in the latest batch of boards. ;)
