Probably one of the 1st non space shooters I remember as a Hot Game. The Tarzan Scream and Splash sound effects were Iconic. Music and Grafics and gameplay were really impressive for 1982.
You dont really hear much about Jungle King, one of the first non shooters I remember kids standing around to play at the local bowling alley. I actually remember going to the bowling alley with friends to play this game. Probably the first game I ever dumped more than threebucks in at one time. Kind of Addicteive gameplay at the time. Being a big Tarzan fan probably helped.
I wasn't aware of the History of Jungle King, Taito was sued for resembling the the Tarzan Iconic image, and had it to be changed. Apparently there are at least three renditions for ""Jungle Hunt" I think I prefer the First Version. Jungle King.
Taito had some good early Arcade Video games, Along with Front Line (1982) they were a jugernaut. Taito doesn't get enough credit for game design back Atari came out with Commando in 1985 , basically ripping off Taito who had come out with Front Line 3 years earlier.
