SOLD MMAO Any interest? Space Tactics SOLD GONE

I saw this a week or two ago and should be getting it in the next day or two.
It looked in near mint condition, was said that its been sitting in somebodies basement for the last almost 30 years, they said everything worked on it. I didnt try it out though because its in two halves at the second, a front half and a back half.
LMK what you think.

It seems small to me...for a cockpit game.
Seemed less than five feet tall and long and about 28" wide.
Im sure the front half weighs a decent amount though, im reading it has a motor that supports and moves the monitor.

I have one that is almost mint. I really like it not much fun to play but cool to look at. If you get it I live in IN as well I might be interested. I got mine local for 300. And it sat on Craigslist for a long while. Hope that helps.

I just love Space Tactics. It has so many nifty ideas. I like the big red lighted buttons on the dash that launch the missiles, the moving monitor to make the playing area seem larger, and the LEDs that sequence to simulate your shots in the mirror. I found it fun and addictive and it was challenging. It had a lot of moving parts that usually caused maintenance headaches for ops so very few working machines still exist. I'd like to own a nice one but I've never seen one in my area.
Congrats on the lucky score.

Hey thanks i havent gotten it yet at this second but should be anyday now, seller offered me a fair price.
Actually now Im looking forward to playing it.

Ill keep you in mind TonyH and update how well it works.

nice score....I only ever saw this game at one arcade BITD...the 3 ring circus....this game allways got a few of my quarters and so did the cockpit tailgunner game....I liked all the extra buttons for the base missiles as well as the shield...if I could pick one up I would definatly go for it.

Cool game. A real collectible.
I played TonyH's last summer when I picked up a Centipede from him. Kinda like Space Invaders on steroids. But I don't know how much replay value it'll have.

The EM components of the game (particularly the moving monitor) fascinate me.

I had one of these for years, finally sold it. It is a fascinating game. I'm amazed at the engineering and unfathomable expense they went to, just to allow the 3-d effect of your shots moving toward the screen. That moving monitor contraption is amazing. Sega builds their stuff so well. They should be building fighter jets and aircraft carriers, not videogames.

As cool as it is, though, it just takes up too much space for the level of fun it is to play. I suppose it would be great game for my museum as it would garner a lot of "curiousity quarters", but not many repeat quarters.

Eww. I went and shined some bright lights directly on it and its not in mint condition.
Then I plugged after I put it all back together and Im seeing some red lines across it. Thats it.
I paid for it and should be taking possesion of it in the next day or two. Oh well itll be somthing fun to play around with. Also looks like the monitor motor wires were dettached.

Well I've had this awhile and haven't done much with it.
Anybody interested in it let me know.
Have a bunch of yellow e's or weird things that come on when you power it up.
The motor looks burnt out. I think its the one that goes to the monitor. The cables are all snipped from it. Thats why I think it's burn't out.
