Any Interest? Reproduction DL Control Panel and Brackets

I just had a Dragons' Lair Control panel reproduced along with the Marquee Brackets.

Is there any interest in making more?

The Control Panel as it sits right now would be around $175 if made in small quantities (5 or less), if more were interested, the price would drop.

The Marquee brackets would be $50 for the pair (upper and lower) and would have to be powder coated. I'll look into what it would cost to have them already powder coated.

These are not 100% the same, but pretty damn close. These are made from 16GA steel, the originals I believe are 18GA, which makes the reproduction thicker. The bends are a little more round because of this, but I don't think it would be an issue.

Here are the results:

I might be interested. Dose your reproduction panel have the 4 mounting tabs and the 1 ground tab in the middle of the bottom of the panel?
I bought a reproduction panel years ago from a guy on the Dragon's Lair Project and I was blown away by how original it was. It was so good I ordered and paid for another one and a set of marquee brackets, prepaid too and still haven't seen either one to this day. So I might be interested in one panel and marquee brackets sense it looks like this guy will never send me the set I paid for. You can see the one I did get on my Dragons Lair control panel page along with the guys name I got it from.:(

Yes. I need to get a new CPO and apply it to make sure that it fits, and I need to take it to someone who has a real DL and make sure it fits the cab correctly. I borrowed an original CP and Brackets and they were used to make the reproduction.

However, since it's using a slightly thicker steel, I want to be 100% sure that it will work. Right now I'm just seeing if anyone is interested.

here are a few more pics:

Ok, time to update this thread.

I talked with the guy and he said we can do $125 for a DL Panel which would also be powder coated primer gray (Which I think the original was). However, to get that price, I would need at least 10 people interested.

Brackets would be $30 and would include powder coating of glossy black.

If you're interested, please post to this thread.

Oh Yeah, a second set of holes can be added for another button if you wanted to setup a Multi-Laser game.

ok, let me see what the minimum order is going to be just for the brackets. Probably 10 sets (2 per set), but I just want to make sure.

Have you advertised these over at the Dragon's Lair Project (www.d-l-p.com)? Since it's a laser you may get some additional order from folks over there.

I may be in for a set of bars, if this will happen.

Anyone out there have the blueprints for them (marquee brackets) and the plexi? I'll eventually need both and don't mind having a local shop make a one-off on each of them.

I am the original person who made the repro marquee plexis a number of years ago for the DLP guys. I did another run about year ago I still have 7 I think. I can run more if there is enough people that want them.
