So, I was lucky enough to get a NOS CPO from Mylstar for my restoration. He mentioned that several people had contacted him about art, but this was all he had and I was the starter of the thread and had first dibs. I am going to take this to a graphics store near me and have it scanned into a .tif (?) format at a high resolution <900dpi. I don't really want to do anything more with it, and I have no interest in making anything off this, so I'm checking to see if anyone wants this to make their own CPOs? I know the file could be sent to gameongrafix.com and they could do it for you. I may ask this graphics company that's going to do the scanning if they have any options as well and would pass on the info.

I'd be interested price pending.

got a pic of it? just wondering if i could chop it up to fit a standard 2player MK Control panel.

Well, I got the CPO scanned today. Cost me $20, but a good investment to help others. It was scanned at 600dpi and saved as a .tif file. I don't know exactly how big it is, but it's bigger than a 500MB jump drive and is burned to a cd. It's obviously not something that can be emailed and I don't know if it would even be possible to upload it somewhere...I'll have to look into that. I've got my CPO that's ready to mount tomorrow, so my interest in doing anything further with this is done. I'll look into uploading this somewhere, but if not, I'll be happy to copy the file and mail it to anyone for a nominal fee to cover shipping, etc.

take a picture of the one you have made, if it's better than inkjet and fairly plain i would prolly be interested in buying one already made (if you wanted to get that far into it).

or i'll just pay for a copy of the tif on cd :D

I'm looking for a way to upload it. I'm not having any made because I'm not looking to make anything off this and want as little time and effort invested into this as possible. I'll post when I get something figured out.

you will make them and you will like it!

lol j/k i understand fully, and i appreciate the entire effort :D

I'm uploading it now and will provide the link when it's up. I'm using megaupload.com I've contacted a repro hero to see what might be some options for you guys...so don't worry about bombarding anyone yet to see if they can do it.

This is sweet. The inkjet repro isnt quite right...

The tough thing is vectorizing the wood floor background...near impossible. This scan should be good enough to print off an go. That is, if you've got a big enough/powerful enough computer to do it...mine crashed every time I tried to open it.

i'm going to try and open it i'll let you know the outcome lol :D

1mbps download speed ftw.

i've never seen a file open at 8% zoom lol, opens fine, can see each pixel/bump on the vinyl. Thanks so much you really are a jedidentist.

Just an addendum to this thread. I never had this file printed off and never even opened it. Alky and Rikitiki have opened it and I believe they printed it off successfully. I just don't want to waste anyone's time PMing me because I don't have a printer, nor do I have any other files for the artwork. I believe that there are files out there for the NBA Jam TE conversion decals that gameongrafix.com has, but won't print due to NBA licensing and Classicarcadegrafix.com used to do, but they no longer are in the business. I was recently given a sheet with all of the decals by Nerrdygirl, but they are pretty bent and many have scratches and severe wear marks. They would need a fair amount of graphics work to make them usable. Even with that, my little scanner is too small to do many of them, and I really have no desire to pay someone to scan all of them. The only reason I took them was because my Instructions decal was severely faded. I will be using the replacement decal on my machine and will scan that one before doing so. If anyone else has the desire to scan the rest of them, I'd be happy to send them along for the cost of shipping.

The TE instruction card is up on Arcadeartlibrary.com iirc (i got my file there i think), I actually picked up an almost complete (90%) sticker sheet also with the instruction card a month or two ago. and recently i got a complete sheet of Regular NBA Jam stickers and blank NOS CPO with the Instruction card (Seems the regular nba jam instruction card is much harder to find, took me a few months of bumping my WTB thread before i got it).

I'll be scanning it when i get some time (possibly this week but no guarantee).

hmm i just checked arcade art library and i can't seem to find the file now. i guess i found it somewhere else

one thing i've noticed with all the art i've obtained in the past few months for midway games is that some are printed on nice glossy sticker material, and others are on this matte heavy duty 3m sticker material.

assuming they are injets its proabably just laminated high gloss (typical)
or solvent printed on matt 3m

originally Im sure they were screened or offset.

that's a regular nba jam converted to te in jow's pic, I have that underlay with the blue and red with no text or characters on it that i just picked up from another member here.

as seen in this image (this is exactly what i got/have both sheets) for regular nba jam: The CPO is printed on that matte 3m paper while the conversion stickers/ instruction card are nice shiny gloss paper.

Rich, I'm happy with the results. Nice work!

For everyone interested in this cpo, I created it from the help of Jedidentist's scan. I spent a lot of time cloning out the holes and shoot, pass, turbo "men" and created the those images from scratch. Therefore, no one has to worry about trying to register the holes with their cp (some cpos in the past had this problem).

Since my cp has slightly different hole placements, the current placement of the shoot, pass and turbo "men" will NOT line up with "stock" cp. But since they are now vector images, you can move them around in the Illustrator file.

That's good information. The original file was a NOS NBA Jam TE CPO, and as such, would fit perfectly for a non-conversion CP. If anyone wants a non-conversion CPO, would they be able to just ask for the original to be printed off?
