I bought this machine from the designer of the game. It was his personal machine and it is marked serial number "Proto #10 Field Test". When I got it, it booted but reported errors on the hard drive. To fix it, I burned an image from the CHD available on the net onto a flash card and used an IDE adapter. That made the game work great (and load fast too!). However, recently, the monitor died. I swapped in a replacement from a junk cab but unfortunately, didn't notice that MACE has no isolation transformer for the monitor, so the replacement monitor blew. So the game plays blind.

The original proto hard drive is still mounted in the cabinet.

Most normal people aren't interested in a game with a non-working monitor, so I'm posting it here to see if there are any collectors who would value it for being a proto.

I am moving soon and need to sell it cheap and fast! I'll take $300 for it. I have to move in 2 weeks, so if I can't sell it by then and end up having to move it with me, I'll just keep it.

I had to sell my truck too so I can't deliver any more, so shipping will need to be via NAVL or someone who will come pick it up.

I can take pics for anyone seriously considering a purchase.

The best way to reach me is to email me at tim arcadecollecting com (add @ and . of course)

$300 - located in Redmond, WA

You'd be better posting pics anyhow. Pics usually spark peoples interest. I'm just curious to see what it actually looks like.

Man, I wish I had the $ right now... It would go great next to the Q*Bert. :D

And I still need to swing by sometime to see what you gots :p

Yeah, no shit! I didn't notice the missing ISO either.

It now has an ISO and thanks to OZ, it works (minus the Mace pcb, which hopefully will be here tomorrow)

Wish I would have seen this thread about a week ago...
