I've got a mostly working terminator 2 game, but the player one gun doesn't track on the screen. It says it calibrates but still nothing. i swapped the plugs on the player 2 gun and it works fine as the player 2 gun. Is this a board issue? The guns don't operate on optical sensors but postion sensors (I had someone tell me it was a bad optical sensor). I notice the vibration dosn't work on either gun if that matters. Any ideas?

Take the bottom metal cover halves off the problem gun assembly. There are two pots in there operated by gears. Chances are there's a wire or two that's broken off from one or both pots.

Here's the thing i can hook the player 1 gun up to the player 2 side and it works fine tracks on the screen fine and in the calibration screen it shows movement on the x and y axis just not during gameplay. It could be a wire issue, but since it tracks in the gun calibration screen i think its something different.

Did you check your wiring for the Player 1 gun? There's a lot of mini-plugs in the wiring on this game. Plus, with the PCB mounted on the sliding rail, the plug(s) could have been jostled.

still no luck

the connections all appear to be okay, I've reseated them and dbl check to see if everything is connected. I think my next step will be continuity tests on the wiring harness from the gun to the board.
