Just finished a run through of the original 6. 1 and 2 take me back but I think 3 is my favorite. What do yall think?

I was a huge Mega Man fan when I was a kid, but only really played the NES ones. I didn't really get into the X or Zero series. Battle Network doesn't even count to me.

My favorite will always be MM2. They took MM1 which was a great game and perfected it on all levels. MM3 was okay. 4-6 are whatevs.

2 and 3 were pretty awesome for their time. 4-6 were on the same level, but didn't really bring anything new to the table.

I enjoyed the X titles on SNES (the first one probably more than the others). The next gen titles are also fairly good (especially the Saturn edition of X4).

Currently playing through the Zero titles on my DS. They're good, but some of the added features make the gameplay experience a little convoluted. Worth a play through nonetheless.

I've always been a huge fan of the NES & SNES Mega Man games (2 & 3 in particular). I was never interested in the versions for Playstation etc.

How good was the music on the NES games. This tune is my favourite:

I think 3 was my favorite, snake mans stage music is one of the best IMO. I thought 4 was odd but very good. I didn't really play 5 or 6 at all must go back to those one day.

I tried playing 10 on PSN but it just seem way to difficult, takes the fun out of it sometimes.

Glad to see other MegaMan fans still going back!

3 was definitely my favorite, and like Jon mentioned - SnakeMan's theme was killer. So killer, in fact, that I use it as my ringtone.

I LOVED 1 like no one's business. LOVED IT! Sounds like I need to go back and try 3 again. Never got into it much on the SNES, or since.

Anyone got Megaman: The Wily Wars? I've never played it, but I plan on getting some sort of flash cart in the near future so I can. I think I'd probably prefer the original NES graphics, but the music on the Megadrive rips the NES games a new asshole.

1-3 for the nes were my favs as a kid..... i finally downloaded 9 and 10 on the xbox360 and boy are they f*kin tough@! mega man 10 does have a nice "easy" mode which helps alot.

i introduced my 4 year old son to mega man and he now loves the mega man. the kid asks to play mega man every day. he wants to watch mega man vids on youtube. he draws pictures of all the mega man characters. he knows the weapons, he knows what weapons to use on what boss. its crazy. first thing in the morning he talks about mega man. the kid just soaks in everything and is acutally gettting pretty good now. he wants to be DUST MAN for halloween this year. how the heck am i gonna make that costume?? hehe...

i used to own wily wars.... then i sold all my mega drive games a few years back to buy arcades :(

Yup. Just one of Capcom's big fails. Driving out one of the creators of one of your most beloved franchises. Way to be. It's unfortunate we'll never get the same quality Mega Man games like we did in the late 80s to early 90s.

i totally agree with you on this one jess....... i was totally looking forward to the release of mega man universe :( i watched some of the inital release vids of universe and it looked quite promising.

just keeping my fingers crossed.... maybe someday capcom will re-visit the mega man world. can only hope.

love that wall art too jess. too cool bro.

Did you guys see the Megaman Character in the Tekken vs Capcom?

It was a joke.
